Shipping issues

Shipped a item sold on eBay with a reshipper address on airport way in Portland, I added signature upon receipt. Item was shipped on time to the buyer. The tracking number shows item in transit. Five days past and item shows in USPS facility in Portland and customer emails me where is my item? I don't have my item. I email customer and stated item is on its way.

The following day customer opens a case for item not received. The nightmare then begins. This item was a high end item sold, I did contacted eBay for support. To make this short and not shard my nightmare i just want other to be on the look out for these situation. I contacted eBay and was told to wait for tracking to show delivered. Time went by without any confirmed delivery on tracking just in transit arriving late. When I contacted the USPS I was tole this item was delivered, and unfortunately the tracking will not reflect delivered do to the fact that my package was delivered to the address in a bulk bin delivery, which means that items sent to a reshipping company may be delivered in a USPS bulk bin. 

Reshipping companies recieve 100's of packages there for USPS scan packages into this bin and creates a Bulk/firm list which is not updated on the USPS tracking system but they will provided the customer upon request a letter to show delivery was made. This will take time to obtain and bay only gives you a short duration before the customer is refunded.

in my case eBay refunded the customer before I had all documents in place for proof of delivery. At this time I am still fighting to get paid. I showed all documents from USPS letterhead sent to me via emails and still not good enough to get paid by ebay. USPS will not update the tracking number only provide proof of delivery via email. this has been such a nightmare.

Now if I claim a lost item with USPS if going to show item was delivered, and eBAy will not support this as true delivery, they only want tracking to show delivered. I will continue to fight this as its unfair how shipping is not monitor closely. If eBay help us buyers dealing with the shipping process and in close relations with the USPS and all other services they give buyers the option to use on ebay for delivery why have us do all the investigation which will take more time to resolve and be at a lost at the end. 

I believe that these customers have a upper hand and know the eBay system and are buying high end items using reshipper then claiming item not recieved in 5 to 6 days after items are shipping to have an upper hand in a refund and also getting the items. Something has to be done, I sold many item and been selling for over 14years this is the first ever with a situation like this. Things are getting worst and we need to be protected from scammers and a better system to help buyers resolve shipping issues in a timely manner.

I will never ship items to a reshipping company again.

 

I will also not let this go easily, writing to the USPS cooperate headquarters about how this was handle and also continue to fight with eBay for a better support for us all..

If there is anyone who had experience this situation and had it resolve please share with me on how I can get the help in getting paid for this item sold and delivered. Item was sent using eBay tools for shipping and a signature required upon delivery was purchased.
