Just got a Google message from 62438 saying:

EBay: Your secret code is xxxxx, do not share this code.

I was asleep at the time.

@if5got1  It sounds like someone was trying to access your account.  

I recommend changing your passwords and secret questions>

2 step authentication using the eBay app is  good idea too.

Possibly someone with a similar username or email address mistyped your username by mistake when trying to sign in, and is trying to reset their password unsuccessfully. If that is the case, most likely they will soon figure things out and sign in to their own account.
