Return request

A buyer has requested a return and refund on a vintage brown suit, it was brown in the photos, brown in the description. He wants his money back because he didn’t receive a black suit! But eBay has decided that the buyer with a feedback of 2 did indeed buy a black suit from me and I shipped a brown one???!?!!! I have been a seller on eBay for 23 years, and this is how it ends!

With over 2000 items sold, this surely can't be the first false not as described return you have received. We all get them. Selling with no returns, you are bound to get them from time to time.

Refund, put the buyer on your blocked list and move on things more worthy of your time.

Re: Return request

It has less to do with a return and more about the lack of seller support and integrity, I was actually told that I was being dishonest in my listing and sale by an eBay representative. Yet more and more we see SHEIN and TEMU items being listed as handmade, or vintage, and the list goes on…

No question that the pendulum has swung way to the buyer's side. I think they do not know how to support sellers without losing buyers. I agree that with more and more junk and misrepresented items, the buyers may just leave on their own.
