Return Request

A buyer sent a return request for a pair of shoes.  Ebay has frozen my funds until it's resolved.  In the mean time, the buyer sent me a message that they now want to keep them. I sent a message to the buyer to cancel the return request. How do I notify Ebay that she's going to keep the shoes and drop the return request? Ebay does not make it easy for the seller to contact them. Just feel like they send you in circles. Help please.

First, I would give the buyer some time to close the case. If she doesn't, you can request a call back from eBay on the left side of the page at this link:

Show them the eBay messaging between you and your buyer to see if they will close the case for you.

Here's how: 

Cancel a return request

1. Go to your Purchase history and find the item.
2. Select See request details in the More actions dropdown menu.
3. Select Close your request and choose your reason from the dropdown menu.

Or they will need to contact customer service and ask to have the request canceled.  

You will need to contact eBay customer service for assistance.

If you are located outside of US or Canada then you will need to use the Chat option or Social Media.

If you are using a cell phone turn off the spam filter or it may block the call back

2. Or you can also contact customer service by sending a private message on social media. You leave a message and an eBay employee will get back to you as soon as possible. To speed things up you can leave your registered account information in the PRIVATE message: Full name, address, phone number, email address, user ID, and a brief explanation of your problem.

The buyer is the one that has to cancel the Return Request.

Also, if they do not cancel the Return Request they will be required to ship the item back to you by the deadline Ebay gave them. If they do not ship the returned item, Ebay will close the case in your favor and release the hold on your funds.
