I received my first negative review yesterday. I am very upset about this as the details are not true.
Buyer returned an item (electric hair clippers), saying item was old junk and didn't work. I opened the package and used it myself, worked fine.
Buyer had messaged me with a threat to leave a bad review unless I refunded his money immediately when they shipped the item, before I received the item back from them. I called ebay and was instructed to not contact buyer and to not refund any money until I had item in hand. I followed those instructions and was left with a scathing review.
I have contacted ebay and they say that the buyer did not break any rules and they could not remove the review.
I have replied to the review, but that does not show up unless I click on the number of negative reviews.
This does not seem fair, as I have not done anything wrong.
Item is relisted, now as used, as I used it myself.
Can I do more to restore my creditability?
