Can someone please explain to me why eBay makes the refund experience so difficult? I mean they keep pushing you towards the seller and the seller just keeps giving the same solution wait. How long do I have to wait? I mean eBay gives a 100% satisfaction, guarantee what does this relate too? I’m not here trying to destroy anyone business cause I know this is people livelihood, but it frustrates me it’s like eBay cares more about the seller vs the buyer. Yet if we don’t pay for an auction that we win they kick us off. Has anyone else had this problem?

-If you are trying to resolve an issue on a transaction simply through eBay messaging the Seller is under no obligation to refund you AND they may be trying to string you out past the 30 day window where you can file an official return through eBay via the item in your purchase history.
-eBay's MBG: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
-Without details on what you are dealing with volunteer Buyers and Sellers here cannot advise you on any course of action.
-As far as Unpaid items go, in general terms, eBay does not kick Buyers off but if they get 2 or more Unpaid items strikes on their account they will have trouble buying on eBay until the strikes are below 2 again. They take 12 months to roll off an account.

Thank you I’m new to this. I didn’t understand the refund process. So in other words I’m pretty much SOL (lol). The seller isn’t obligated to have to refund the item or even offer a better solution than wait. So the buyer pays for the item from the seller but the seller doesn’t have to ship you the product and eBay just overlook this and keep making you reach out to the seller for 30 days. Like I said I’m new at this and didn’t understand the refund process. Going forward I know to be careful who I order from. Thank you sir and have a wonderful day.

First of all, eBay does not "give a 100% satisfaction, guarantee". The Money Back Guarantee covers items that are not received or that are Significantly Not As Described when they are received.
There is a strict 30 day window to file a case (or whatever they are calling it this week) under the MBG. The time does not start until the estimated date of deliver you were given when you paid (will be on your order confirmation email--the date in your Purchase History might have been changed from then based on later information from the carrier but it is the date you were given when you paid that controls) OR the date of delivery whichever is EARLIER (important to note if you received a SNAD item late).
Don't let the 30 days pass you by, no matter what the seller says or any advice by eBay to contact him/her first--you have already done that. Go into your Purchase History and select that you didn't receive the item or that you want to return it because it is not as described/pictured.

You are missing a few details in this post.
eBay's return process is pretty simple. You open a return request, if it is eligible, you return the item to the seller. Once it is returned (with proof) the seller has 3 days to refund you.
So, I ask you this.
1. Is the item return eligible?
2. Did you return the item (with proof)
3. How long has it been since the seller received the item?
What is the item number? When did you receive the item? What are the items return terms? Why are you contacting the seller directly? Have you opened a return request? What is the reason for the return?

Thank you for the help. The best thing for me to do is just reach out to PayPal. Cause what I read here is eBay doesn’t care if you get your item or not. It’s ok for the seller to take your money and not have to send anything. You reach out to the seller but they reply the exact same thing each time like a bot. So the 100% money back guarantee doesn’t reply to this? So in other words eBay is just tricking people into false promises? So just about every post I read is pretty much telling me that if I buy an item and don’t get it I’m not entitled to any rights. Thank all of you for your replies. Have an awesome day.

No. That is NOT what anyone is saying except for you. If you are within the 30 day window and did not received your item you file for item not received, and then you "Ask eBay to step in 3 days later (but no more than 21 days later) if you still don't have the item or a full refund. If the estimated delivery date hasn't elapsed yet, you wait until then. If you let the 30 deadline go past then you go to your payment source.
