I sell mostly books, DVDs and CDs and used the old eBay Global Shipping, mailing things to Erlanger Kentucky (Cincinnati airport) for years with few problems.
In recent months I use the eBay app on Android, not a desktop, if that might matter. I cheked and I have the latest version of the eBay app for Android. (And it looks like there are many eBay settings that can only be done from a browser, correct?)
I am now having several problems with the new eBay International Shipping where we now mail things to the Chicago airport, Glendale Heights Illinois.
1. Recently two orders for items that I just listed offering eBay International Shipping came in with foreign addresses and extra money for shipping. I did not allow that when I made the listing, only choosing the eBay International Shipping option. Another one has just come in with an address in Italy and I am afraid I might have to cancel it. This never happened even once when we mailed items to Erlanger Kentucky.
2. As I list or revise items using the Android app, for many of them (almost all books, dvds or cds) the eBay International Shipping option no longer works. Under shipping if I click the radio button to select eBay International Shipping, after a moment it used to say something like Amount Buyer Will Be Charged and then in the box below say something like $12.00 - $18.00 and I would proceed. Now after I click it, it changes to something like "Enter the amount you will charge the buyer" and just stops. Well if I am using eBay International Shipping isn't the whole point that eBay collects the money for shipping, or has that changed?
I wonder if this problem is specific to the eBay mobile app? Will it work correctly using eBay on a desktop computer?
I am really disappointed at how badly this is messed up so far. Maybe five percent of my sales used to be via the eBay Global Shipping via Erlanger Kentucky. I have done maybe ten so far to Glendale Heights, but now maybe that no longer works.
