Possible Scam

I purchased an item, paid by paypal and received the item.  This item was shipped to me directly from Walmart.  Ordered one day and received the next.   Today, one day later, I get a message from someone asking if I received a Blackstone Griddle.  I replied I had.  She received an email from Walmart , they charged the griddle to her credit card and it had my shipping address on the email..  Not sure how to handle this.  I know the purchase price showed up on my credit card account.

Possible Scam

The eBay seller you purchased from (and paid) may be in turn placing orders through a merchant site using stolen credit cards and having the order shipped directly to you from the merchant.

See here for an explanation of how such scams typically work:

https://www.valueaddedresource.net/triangulation-fraud/

The scammer has no access to your credit card information through eBay; the scammer is using card numbers obtained elsewhere, and this time the cardholder quickly noticed the transaction.

Accounts involved in triangulation scams tend to be new accounts with little or no feedback for selling that offer low cost deals on common in-demand items -- often such deals are too good to be true, since the scammer does not have to pay for any inventory, and the scammer wants to encourage as many transactions as possible very quickly, as the scammer expects the account to be caught and terminated soon.

You may want to report the seller to eBay here:

Possible Scam

I have a Walmart account and a Walmart credit card and Walmart doesn't email me when a charge is made on my card.  I get emails saying your rewards statement is ready, your payment is due, and your payment has posted.  If I want to see my charges I have to go in my account to see the charges.

For her to say Walmart emailed her to say she purchased a grill just seems weird. Saying she checked her credit card and saw a purchase she didn't make is more believable.

And I would never give some random stranger information or verify my purchase with them.  Unless eBay or the seller refunded me I wouldn't return anything. I would report the seller to eBay for buying it on eBay and using a stolen credit card to pay Walmart. It's  possible the owner of the eBay account had their account hijacked. eBay needs to know about the trianglelation scam.

It is possible that Walmart (or the card issuer) is taking some new, additional steps to notify users when a purchase is made that is shipped to a new address not associated with the account.

That might not have happened at all if that user did not already have a Walmart account with an email address, though, or if the OP's contact information did not appear on the order that user obtained.
