Hey! I am looking for some advice regarding a return I received from a customer. I sent a package with trading cards in it and the packing got damaged. The buyer requested a return and I said I would do it and simply asked for them to show me a picture of the damaged cards. They were rude and aggressive throughout and only sent me pictures of three cards that had some slight damage which I listed in the description of the item. They then filed a return request. Here is where things get interesting:
1) they returned 35 of the 81 cards they received
2) they kept all 81 top loaders and only returned the cards with nothing on them
3) The cards they returned were extremely damaged. The three cards they showed me a picture of had significantly more damage when I received them back than in the picture they sent me (so the damage happened after they got them and before I received them back). I believe this buyer felt if they said the cards were damaged I would tell them to keep them (since they didn't show any pictures of the damages) and when I asked for them back they got angry and destroyed some and sent them back while keeping more than half for themselves.
Would love any recommendations on what to do. thanks!

If you were a top rated seller with a 30 day return policy (or free returns) you could keep up to 50% of the return price because the returned items were not in the same condition as you sent them. Since you are not, you will need to refund the buyer's full payment. However, you can report the buyer for misusing ebay's Money Back Guarantee:
