Does anybody body know what this type of “thing” on these dimes mean? Thank you.The first looks like a 💧 drip.
Possibly a Cud. The die cracks, and a portion breaks away. The Planchet fills the void with a blob. There would be no such thing as a "drip" because coin designs are stamped into solid blank planchets.
