I accidentally sent the wrong item. My angry buyer messaged me and I replied within 4 minutes stating I would give full refund immediately or I could send correct one the next day and then pay for the return of the wrong ones that he could send at his convenience. Within the 3 minutes it took for me to reply my resolution he already gave me a bad feedback before even knowing what I was going to do. My question is am I safe to just send the corrected one or should I do it somehow through eBay so I can prove I corrected my mistake and sent the correct ones. I wouldn’t have thought any different but it worries me that he was so quick to put a bad feedback but when I said how I would fix it and hoped once he received the correct ones he would rethink his feedback he has yet to reply. I even offered for him to keep the incorrect once and no reply. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would definitely complete the process within eBay. Ask the buyer to open a return due to "received wrong item" so that you can send a refund. Below are the return options the buyer will see. The buyer will also be required to upload a photo, and that may become an issue if the buyer is unable to do so.
You should see options to refund, send a return label, or send a replacement.
If you use the refund option, the buyer will be fully refunded and you would not send the replacement item.
