Image Search

Hi! I have an item that we have had for years and we don't know what it is.  We have been using it as a toothpick holder but I now that's not what it is.  How do I look it up with a photo to see what it is? Thanks!

Image search tends to work best with things like photos or paintings that that are usually pictured from one angle and are popular enough to appear in multiple places on the internet. You can certainly try google's image search -- just go to google.com, click on the "images" link and/or click on the camera icon in the search bar. Computer algorithms tend to be very "hit or miss", though.

You might have better luck posting a photo or two on one of the discussion boards here -- the first for Collectibles & Art, the second for Home & Garden -- depending on whether your item is more decorative or functional:
