I accidentally marked an unpaid item as "payment received"

Howdy, I never got payment for an item, and in the porcess of attempting to close the sale so I could relist it, I accidently hit the "payment received" option. I'm desperatly in the process of tryng to figure out what to do, but the "Help and Contact" menu A) doesn't address this specific and doubtless one-off issue, and; B) won't let me just write a letter to ebay to get this fact on the record. The case information isn't available, I just want to get on the record that I made a mistake in marking the payment option, so that the unpaying party doesn't insist I send it, so they can resell it themselves. Any suggestions? I just want to ether offer it to the runner up, though I've waited more than 2 weeks for payment, or else relist it.
