So I looked it up and it turns out Ebay allows using multiple gift cards for a purchase.

I can't figure out how you use multiple gift cards. I tried using paypal and when I clicked the drop down for paypal after adding my first card and clicked "add a card..." below my first card it came back with "Things don't appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later."
When I decide to attempt to see if I can just add my cards to Ebay directly there is no button from what I can see that allows me to add another card.
How do you use multiple gift cards for a purchase?
Quote: "You can use more than one e-gift certificate or gift card per purchase. However, you can use only one coupon per purchase."
What kind of gift card?
You can use up to 8 eBay gift cards during checkout.

During checkout, select Paypal as your payment method, then log in to your account. Once logged in, you should be able to scroll down on the checkout page & apply your eBay gift cards in the redemption code box ( one at a time).
But you can only use one VISA, MC, AMEX, Discover gift card during checkout.
As of June 2020, the new limit is 4 gift cards per transaction or 3 gift cards and 1 coupon. I don't understand the logic behind this move but I don't like it.
After you APPLY the first gift card type another in and APPLY it this is the way most gift card purchases work and I assume eBay is the same way. Once the APPLY button is hit it automatically takes the amount off the balance and allows the next card/coupon to be used.
It does not work that way on ebay. After you apply your remaining card balance on one card and enter another and apply it, it kicks out the first card and uses the second card because "the whole balance can be covered using this card". As far as I can tell I will never be able to use the small remaining balance on the first card. What a system.
