Help with Fur Classification?

Hi! If anyone can help with classification on this vintage fur coat would be great. The fur itself is extremely soft and seems to be lighter underneath which makes me think maybe it's dyed rabbit? The fur it

 

self also seems to have a light feel to it.

 

The color seems to look like mink to me but the lighter shade under is throwing me off. If anyone has any ideas please reach out. Thank you!
