Gift card redemption code doesn’t work

I bought 2 gift cards on for 109 and one for 50.  I left them in my car while I pumped gas.  When I finished I went to the restroom. I came out and left the store.  When I went to use the cards o noticed the last 3 digits had scratches across them but weren’t completely scratched off just the right ebd digits semi revealed. I logged in and checked the balances and was shocked to find that the codes didn’t work and it said they didn’t exist!!!  What could’ve happened to them? Was I robbed or were they invalid from the start???

Gift cards can take up to four hours for activation to be registered. If it has been less than four hours since your purchase, try again.

If you still have problems after that, take the cards back to the retail store where you purchased them and make sure they were correctly activated.
