Getting a defect removed

OK, I sold an item on auction. Buyer paid and THEN asked if I could wait on shipping for a few days as they would be out of town. Buyer's note is on the shipping page. I shipped as requested which was after my shipping time. Now I have a defect for late shipping. It doesn't put me under 95% but - I did as the buyer asked. I did chat to try and get it removed and was told to use the "Request to Remove Defects" help. The defect does not show up on that. It does show on my dashboard. Help? Thanks!

Sorry to keep editing - just thought it might make a difference that this is my ONLY defect.

Oh I just looked at my dashboard again and I was wrong. This defect DOES put me under 95%. Double Help!

When you get what looks like the chat page, scroll down to where it says contact an agent.  Then select have us call you.

Late shipping really isn't considered a defect. But - if it is putting you below the level to achieve top rated, and you would otherwise be top rated, customer service can request removal, as long as the buyer made the request through an eBay message.

To speak to customer service, use the link and instructions on this page to work through the automated assistant to get a call back -

I haven't been selling as much so I'll be Above Standard now. This would ding me below that.

I'll try that link. Thank you.!

Sorry - same thing - if it would change your status, they should fix it for you.

Getting a defect removed

I went through everything in that link and it keeps taking me to the automated help chat. I did that before asking here. Chatted with what I assumed was a real person. That's who told me to use the Remove a Defect help. So I'm still getting nowhere. Am I doing something wrong? I can't find where to get an actual phone call. I've read where people get help using facebook? Is that my next avenue? And if so how would I do that? Thanks for all your help!!
