I would like eBay to address a disconnect between the App and the desktop version.
I sold an item. I woke up the morning of the 8th, checked my app to see if anything needed to be shipped and saw one item. It said sold Sept. 8. I decided to wait til Sept 9 to ship it, as we have 1-day handling.
I woke up today, the 9th, to see "shipping overdue" on the item. What the? The desktop says it sold Sept. 7, 11:30 pm PST. My app still says it sold on the 8th. FYI, I'm on East Coast time.
There's always been an issue for East Coast sellers as to exactly when a "day" is, when calculating when to ship. But this is a glitch on eBay's part: the date an item sold is the date it sold, and should display the same on the App and the desktop version.
And to make this more irritating, I called Concierge to say this defect really should not be on me, since I relied on eBay's App. Her response was that she couldn't do anything yet, because it wasn't in the system/ripe.
I know sellers have requested that the App be more user-friendly to us. If the App told me when I was supposed to ship, based on whatever was stated in the listing and the dates eBay believed to be involved, that would be a significant improvement. I can see no logic to telling me an item sold on any date other than what triggers my shipping obligations.
