Can you use two different tracking numbers to ship one item

eBay email me a tracking number after paying for an item, however after a few weeks send me information showing me that the item was delivered using a different tracking number

How is that possible

Sellers who use UPS SurePost will get a UPS tracking number and then the last leg of delivery is made by USPS, so I assume that tracking number will also be uploaded.

Sellers who use ebay International Shipping will have a USPS tracking number to the EIS hub, and when the package is sent out to the buyer's country, another tracking number is uploaded.
