***Coming Soon: My eBay 2.0 Enhancements***

***Coming Soon: My eBay 2.0 Enhancements***

In the next few weeks we will be introducing several enhancements to My eBay. Many of these enhancements are based on Community feedback that we received during the Beta period and after the rollout of My eBay 2.0.

Changes include:

* Adding totals for the Bidding, Won, Sold, and Selling sections on the My Summary, All Selling & All Buying pages. Members can adjust the location of the totals on the page, or remove them.
* Adding a more visible relist status icon to the Sold and Unsold sections, with the ability to add or remove the column.
* Adding an Auction Format column to the Sold section. Members will be able to choose whether to include or remove this column.
* Changing the color of the status icons slightly to make them more distinguishable on the screen and in the ‘Print’ view.
* Removing the bold font from the Item Title in all sections.
* Faster loading of My eBay pages

We are also working to allow you to hide or show the Buying and Selling Reminders on your Summary page. This will be available several weeks after the enhancements above have been introduced.

We appreciate all the feedback that members have provided so far, and encourage members to continue posting their comments and questions on this thread.

Regards,

eBay

Tips for using My eBay 2.0

Default Landing Page
If you would like to "land" on a specific view in the new My eBay other than the "My Summary" page, you can switch your landing page in the "My eBay Preferences" area. To do that, click on "eBay Preferences", and you'll find "My eBay Preferences" at or near the bottom of the page. Just select your desired landing page in the "Default opening page" selector and click "Apply".

Time Left vs. End Time
Auction end times display in "Time Left" format (days, hours, minutes) by default in many views. To switch your views to show ‘End Time’, (absolute time, Pacific time zone), you can change this preference in the "My eBay Preferences" section on the eBay Preferences page.

Horizontal scrolling
If you are getting horizontal scrolling or would just like more room, there are a few things you can do:
1. Remove columns you don't want or need by customizing your views (select "Customize" at the top right of each table).
2. Also on the "Customize" page, some tables have an option for "Item title on its own row" - that will move the item information below the item title and the view won't take up as much horizontal space.
3. Increase your screen resolution from the Control Panel on your computer

Rearrange your tables on the Summary Page
If you would like a different arrangement of the information on the Summary page, or would like to remove or add different information, you can do that on the "Customize Summary" page. The Customize Summary link can be found at the top of the My Summary page. You can move the containers on the page up or down, add new ones (almost anything that's in My eBay), or remove them (some can't be removed at this time). We will be adding the ability to remove the buying and selling reminders in the next several weeks.

Missing Totals
If you are having difficulty finding the totals for the items you are selling, have sold, are bidding on or have won, these can be found by going to the individual pages from the left navigation. (For example: if you want to see the total of all items you have sold for a particular time period, go to the ‘Sold’ link from the left navigation and at the top of the page, you will see a section called ‘Sold Totals’.

For views with totals, the totals will appear above the tables by default. If you'd like them to appear beneath the tables, just click the down arrow in the totals container and it will flip underneath the table.

Again, we will be adding back totals to all the My eBay item views in the next few weeks. Thank you for your patience while we make these updates.

Seeing More Items per page
You can customize the number of items that appear per page depending on the page you are viewing.

On the My Summary page, you can see up to 25 items per table by changing the setting from the ‘Customize Summary’ page (mentioned above).

For all other My eBay pages, (Bidding, Won, Selling, Sold, etc) you can view up to 200 items per table. In order to change the number of items per table in the other views, you will need to go into the ‘Customize’ page from the top of each table. Again, you can only view 25 items from the My Summary so if you need to see more per table, you can set your default landing page to go to any of the other views from the eBay Preferences page.

Sorting
To sort by different pieces of information, just click linked column headings. Repeat clicks will invert the sort (ascending <-> descending). A little triangle will appear next to the heading that is the current sort (pointing up = ascending, pointing down = descending).

Pictures
The "Items I'm Watching" and "Items I'm Bidding On" views can display pictures in the table. If you would like to turn off the pictures so they don't display, you can do that on the "Customize" page for each table.

Printing
The new My eBay offers printer-friendly versions of each view. To see them, just click the little "Print" link at the top-right of each view. (You'll use your browser's "print" function to do the actual printing.) If the information prints off the page, try setting your Page Setup to print by landscape. You can do this from the browser ‘File’ menu, then go to ‘Page Setup.

We hope these tips help you get your new My eBay page set up the way that you want to view it. We appreciate all of your feedback on the new product. Keep your suggestions coming!

Checking back in and these Enhancements not anywhere close to making My eBay 2.0 usable. One thing if I worked for a company that had software this user unfriendly- I would get a paycheck to use it. Here I am paying you, to use it weather something sells or not, and want something user friendly. If you are going to make it customized then make everything customized not just some of it. I don’t use fixed price and never will but can’t get rid of it. Let me get rid of the icons. Let me make it so I don’t have to left/right scroll. I know what I need on My eBay better than you do it would seem as you have given me stuff I don’t want and use. If there are no more enhancement on the way to make this thing more user friendly then I will be out the door. I didn’t do the 10-cent thing or the penny package or been buying/ selling/ looking since I tried to use it and gave up. If given a choose between changing my browser to higher screen size resolution or changing auction sites- well I have already started using other auction site.

So absolutely frustrated and angry I can’t even complete thoughts. Should read: If given a choice or more like it, having to choose between changing my browser to higher screen size resolution or changing auction sites- well I have already started using other auction site.

I just noticed that my history of unsold items has changed. Any item that was relisted, no longer shows as being relisted. This really stinks, I now have to remember what was relisted, this used to show for me. Also, the old "MyEbay" would show if sold items had been relisted, but "MyEbay2.0" doesn't show that anymore. It was very useful to me.

Well, I see Lola is still at her smart-mouth insulting remarks and cartoons (the ONE thing she is REALLY good at)...along with the other two, 2.0cheerleader squad.

It is truly amazing how these persons CLAIM to be here to help, then spend SO MUCH TIME insulting and belittling the rest of us. Also amazing that when claiming this is a HELP board, they didn't even read ebay **ACTUAL** EMPLOYEE "Michelle" original posting: ASKING US TO KEEP POSTING OUR COMMENTS... COMMENTS are different from asking for help. The VAST majority of users on this thread have not asked for YOUR help, they have asked for EBAY to respond. We don't need help, we can figure it out by using a lot of extra time and 'clicks'....that never WAS the point.

But the cheerleading squad should know this, since very little of what I have read is helpful. At best, it was nothing more than a multi-step workaround to FIX something that doesn't work the same simple way it SHOULD (and DID WORK in 1.0)

It is also showing me just what kind of people Ebay employees are, not to take notice of these nasty insults --proof that either they are NOT reading these postings (as I suspect) or they are pleased (for some inexplicable reason) with certain people who are abusive to others.

See, that's yet ANOTHER thing that has gotten worse since 2.0. I've read a lot of DISCUSSION boards on Ebay but didn't post---never had a need to really. But only recently have I seen such insulting behavior. And apparently it is acceptable? Is there not a "terms & conditions" clause covering that?

Again, thanks ebay for NOTHING. Thanks for wrecking a SIMPLE QUICK EZ-TO-USE format. And putting in a pretty little ICON system to keep Lola and her ilk happy. Apparently they prefer to live in click-land. click click click....

Well I have noticed an improvement this morning. I only have to wait half an eternity for pages to load. That means I only have to wait half as long to become annoyed enough to click the Stop & Home buttons on my browser and run away from this mess that used to be Ebay.

Since I've had some spare time that I used to spend on bidding, I've used it to read some of the other forums. I noticed something interesting in all the forums. When there are vocal people with valid complaints that just won't hush, the trolls show up to attack them and harass them. Trolls with different names, but very similar posting styles.

Now I have to wonder who's paying these trolls? Obviously their jobs are to take the spotlight off the valid complaint and engage the person doing the complaining in personal battles. Are they hoping to make it so uncomfortable the person doing the complaing just goes away or are they trying to muddy the waters so much that the valid complaint gets lost in the silt?

I finally stopped resisting and signed up on another auction site. Been reading the forums there too. Wow.. the people are nice and friendly. Quite a difference. Even checked out sending email to CS..it got answered! Amazing! It may be smaller, it may not have as much traffic..yet. But you know, Ebay used to be small without much traffic. The buyers & sellers are what made Ebay grow, seems that Ebay has forgotten that. My grandma used to tell me "Never forget those that help you along the way". Ebay shudda listened to grandma.

Maybe it's just me, but when has your opinions of other users been the topic of this thread??
Well, if you want to discuss MIDDLE SCHOOL topics, START A NEW THREAD!!
Or maybe you can get back on topic, that EBAY 2.0 is the worst change, with the most flaws, this company (EBAY), has EVER had! They should have worked on fixing flaws before MAKING everyone use their product, instead of EBAY 1.0, which by the way, I never had problems with. This thing has been a pain in the !@# since they rolled it out! Although it is SLOWLY getting a little better, if we work together with our complaints, it might make a difference, however negligible the difference is.

THANKS!
