Updated 2004 Easter Exchange

So many of you have emailed to say that you feel you are "hat-challenged" that I decided to update this thread and make this year just "2004 Easter Exchange"!

Make, buy, or embellish an Easter outfit or hat for someone and get one in return!

Looks like Easter falls on April 11th this year.
Here's the thing: Email me at this ID if you'd like to participate. Please do so by February 14th. In the email, include your name and address, and make the subject 'EASTER EXCHANGE'. If you only collect one type of doll (Ginny, Barbie, Sweet Sue, Tony, etc) mention that- or if you collect in a specific size range or would like a specific color/pattern. Also, mention if you would like to give a outfit/hat in a specific size or doll type. (If you have no preferences, mention that too, please) The week of February 16th I'll have everyone matched up as best as I can with who would like to receive and who would like to give what. You'll know who you're giving to, but you won't know who's giving to YOU. I'll email everyone with the name and address & ID (some people only know others by their ID, not their names) of whom you're sending an outfit/hat to. That will give us the rest of Feb. & March to plan, make, and decorate. We should have packages in the mail by March 31st to make sure they arrive by Easter. When mailing, be sure to put your return address on the package, but don't put your name (or you can use the name of EASTER BUNNY, LOL!). We'll start a new thread on or after Easter where everyone can display their new creations & everyone will know who was matched up with who.

No minimum $ limit to spend, and no maximum---just use your own good taste and judgement.


So have fun with this! Any questions can be posted here or sent to me at my email and I will get back to you. If any one has any other suggestions or ideas for this, too, be sure to add it here, also. I will keep this bumped up so that we can all get through the Christmas/New Year hustle and bustle before devoting time to this but wanted to start everyone thinking about it now. Thanks to Mike, too, for letting me take the reins this year. I am really looking forward to it!

Also, to those of you who were "lost" in the Santa Exchange- we have some participants who will make extra gifts, so EVERYONE will receive something! Please join us in this exchange!

I sent out emails to everyone that I have matched up so far- most of you are done. If you haven't gotten an email from me, let me know. For some reason it appears that some of the emails have gotten "lost" in cyber-space. I will retransmit any emails that were not received. Thanks to all for your patience!!

Michelle, I think I am one of the "lost in cyberspace" Easter Exchange people. If you woudl please match me up with someone I would love it. I have a week and a half off eBay since we are going on vacation March 5.

I received my Easter Exchange gift Friday. As soon as my new Tiny Kitty Collier comes in I will post pics of my new doll wearing her beautiful new dress.

I received a Bunny package from S. C. today, totally unexpected and what a beautiful surprise!! I even have a dolly that will be perfect for the outfit almost ready to dress! Thank you so very much, Dee. I will try to get a pic to you when I get that gal's hair fixed up!
