Hi Fardville, OH Kat, that foot sounds so painful. Stay off of it & let the family wait on you for a change!

Missa, that stinks! Why does it have to be so expensive?
We didn't pay anything near that for DS's pre-school. So long ago but I think it was just a one time tuition payment & no monthly fees. It's not fair on the kids who's families can't afford it.

Hope that candle works for all Jasue!!

Keep it burning for DH too.:^O He has some fixin to do when he gets home from work. Poor guy can't get a break. I broke the tractor again. Steering went. It's happened before & he can fix it but not much fun for him.

It's some bar I think that slips out & the wheels get pigeon toed & wont turn. It's happened several times so it's no biggie. Just a pita for him to have to deal with after working all day.

Yes Jasue, but fewer hours. When they shut down for full days, he takes vacation pay. He doesn't really mind the time off but he can't really plan ahead for a vacation because he doesn't know when he'll need to take them.

...I better get some housework done so he doesn't think I did nuttin all day.:^O

Thanks for commisserating everybody! and LOL @ VA! THats SOOOO true! Seed-Our only other option in this little town is the private Christian preschool and thats what it costs. I just tlked to Allie's teacher and my neighbor whos one of the other preschool teachers and they thought there was a percentage that didn't have to meet the income requirmemnt in order to keep it at the public schoool facility. I'd forgotten that I heard that too. So as soon as I'm done eating I'm calling the Fresno County Board of Education, thats who the ladies doing the registration were blaming.

No Seeds, I didn't! Ms. Snooty in a swim suit! I'll have to look that up! BTW Shannon, I thought public school meant public school! I would figure that had to take all, and I never heard of an income limit with a public school! Hmmm, This doesn't sound right!

There you are! Shannon, if they use federal Funds it doesn't sound right to me that they could exclude a child in the school district.

It is the Head Start/Early Childhood Education program here. Only the poor and the migrant/illegal workers can go to it until they are old enough for Kindergarten. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

We have a Head Start program here too. Theres a building built somewhere else specifically for that. This program is different, its state funded and I'm trying to figure out more about it, but this one is NOT Head Start.

Well, y'all are educating me. I am aware of head start, but I didn't know they could refuse to take a child because of income.
