Hi, Can you identify this Chinese character? Thanks Kim
It's similar to longevity but if that's what it is, there's some artistic interpretation to make it look nice with a circle.
There are a couple of extra (up-out) strokes on the main crossbar in the middle, and the bottom left isn't quite a box shape but... it's calligraphy and it's an artistic piece of jewelry (nice chain), so it might be longevity. A native Chinese speaker could probably confirm whether it's that or something close to that.
I think it is "longevity," but we're seeing the back of the piece.
Of course, it is flipped over. That makes the strokes on the bottom correct. The extra tick-marks on the long crossbar are probably to stabilize the thin sculptural parts.
What indicators do you have to support that view or is it a general guess?
Just kidding, I know, I know. Google translate told you something different.
