Hello,
I have a couple of antique vault entrances that I am trying to figure out what to do with. They are extremely ornate and I have found no similar ones like them.
Double skinned with back doors, with one having a Sargent's Magnetic lock (patent 1865) This is the only date I have found, ummm, to date.
One is 7' tall with a dome top (very ornate) and the other is 6' tall (also very ornate).
They come from a radio station from Valparaiso, Indiana. Via property we purchased from Valpo Tech.
The building was built in 1879 as far as I can find.
There is much more to the story of the building. All available online.
Images should be attached.
Any ideas on what make / year they are?
Is this one of the few existing magnetic locks (which were a complete failure) from Sargents?
Thanks!
Ken
