Hello!  I recently purchased a paisley shawl at auction.  It has an embroidered "signature" of some kind.  Can anyone help me ID this?  I'm assuming the lettering is Kashimir Irdu or another Indian language?  Does this make it a more valuable artisan piece?  It is very light weight wool embroidery, and the black in the center feels like silk.   ... This is a small grouping of carved Asian figures and netsukes. Many have holes for a cord to pass through. Some items are simply small figures either attached - or not attached - to wood bases. The items shown in the center of the main image are quite white (bovine bone?) and others are more yellowed bone. All have been tested with a hot needle and none penetrated the surface of any of the items - does this mean not resin? All the items are very hard. Many have small markings to - I believe - identify the artisan.  Many of these items have 2 holes for a single cord to pass through. The man shown at the far right middle is extremely detailed.
