Help With Antique Chair Identification

I purchased this chair a while back, but don't know how to describe it.  It is very old, has hand pegs, mahogany construction.

Can anyone tell me what style this is called, and any possible guess as to its age?

I'd like to do some research, but don't even know what to call it.

Thanks

actually, thae back splat does look like mahogany, flame mahogany veneer to be specific.  Typical of the period but not normally with rush seats.

Help With Antique Chair Identification

Looks more like a kitchen chair than a dining room chair to me.
