Recently, eBay began adding Best Offer to fixed price  and auction-style listings. Based on previous tests, we found this feature drives higher sales conversion, especially in cases when the starting bid or fixed price is set higher than the recommended price. In auction-style listings, the option for a Best Offer disappears after the auction receives its first bid.

Sellers can auto-decline Best Offer requests through the Manage Offers feature:

Desktop: item page (view item) > Manage Offers > Change offer settings.

Sellers can also turn this feature off on a fixed price listing at any point by revising it. If you don’t see the option to revise the listing, you may need to update the preferences first, and then proceed to revise the listing for removing Best Offer.

  • If your listing is fixed price and has no offer, simply revise the listing to remove the Best Offer feature.
  • If your listing is fixed price and has an offer, please decline the offer first, then revise the listing to remove the Best Offer feature.

If your listing is auction-style, you cannot remove Best Offer, but you can adjust your auto-decline thresholds to a price you are willing to accept.

There are no plans to enable this feature for business sellers.
