Did you mean:

Winter weather conditions are still disrupting transportation lines across parts of the US.  We previously announced seller protections for these weather delays and we are expanding those to also cover defects resulting from transactions you cancelled.

We’ve also added the following message that buyers see when they view their tracking information on eBay to let them know there may delays due to the snow storms and to allow extra time:

If you are involved in an eBay transaction with a buyer or seller in affected areas, please note that their ability to communicate or complete your transaction may be delayed due to these severe conditions. We encourage you to be patient in this matter, both throughout the transaction and when providing feedback after your item arrives.

You do not need to worry about your seller performance. If your business is impacted, eBay will automatically protect your seller performance, including:

  • Your late shipment rate
  • Your valid tracking upload rate
  • “Item not received” case defects  due to late delivery as long as you uploaded tracking and have a physical scan from the carrier before a case was opened
  • Defects resulting from transactions you cancelled

Sellers do not need to worry about their eBay seller performance due to delays caused by the storm. We will continue to monitor conditions and automatically extend seller protections to include any sellers who may be affected. You will not receive defects for stockouts or unresolved cases with buyers. Your late shipment rate will not be impacted.

We will also remove any associated negative and neutral feedback and these cases will not impact your service metrics rating.

You do not need to contact Customer Service at this time. Please stay safe.

As always, thank you for selling on eBay.  We will continue to monitor the situation and provide an update if needed.
