Starting today, new FedEx 2Day and Home Delivery rates are lower for eBay sellers than they were in 2019. For the first time, FedEx has lowered its 2Day and Home Delivery rates.
FedEx 2Day delivery, available in all states except Alaska and Hawaii, is a fast, cost-effective alternative to other shipping services and now offers flat rate pricing including surcharges. The reduced 2Day rates apply to FedEx Pak, Envelope, and packages weighing 1-10 lbs. Free Pak and Envelope supplies can be obtained at FedEx stores nationwide, and convenient package drop off is available at over 50,000 FedEx OnSite and retail locations, including Walgreens, Dollar General, and more.
FedEx Home Delivery is designed for customers who want fast and convenient deliveries to their homes. Use FedEx Home Delivery for residential delivery via FedEx Ground in 1−7 business days, based on the distance to the destination.
FedEx, UPS, and USPS previously announced rate increases effective on the following dates (consult the carrier websites linked below for more details):
- UPS: December 26, 2019
- FedEx: January 6, 2020
- USPS: January 26, 2020
We will automatically update your listings when the new rates take effect. Check your listings to make sure they include accurate package weights and measurements. Please note:
- The eBay shipping calculator and eBay Labels will be updated when the new rates take effect.
- If you use flat rate shipping, review your listings to see if your flat rate covers the price increases. You may have to raise your flat rate charges to maintain the same profit margins.
- If you offer free shipping, review your listings to see if they can absorb the extra costs, or if you should adjust your listings.
