Did you mean:

As we begin to get ready to celebrate eBay’s 25th anniversary, let’s take time to reflect on all that you have built on our platform. Over the years, a lot has changed, but one thing remains the same, the strength of our community. Even through this time of uncertainty, it is you, our sellers who shine through.  You have remained focused, working tirelessly to get people what they want and need most.  Thank you!

We can’t begin to tell our 25th story, without hearing about yours first.  We will be creating a mini-series documentary, telling amazing seller stories to celebrate our 25th year. We know this milestone would not be possible without the millions of sellers who power our marketplace. Whether you are a new seller or have been selling for years, we want to hear from you!  I invite you to find a quiet corner and take our survey to tell us your story

We will then share many of the stories, as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations through eBay.com, our social channels, podcast and marketing campaigns.  We’ll invite our customers to share in your journey and visit your eBay store.  Because as the human form of ecommerce, we want to bring forward the faces behind the listings.

Looking ahead to our next 25 years, connect, empower and community will remain at the heart of everything we do.

Connect

Staying connected has always been important to eBay. However, during these extraordinary times, staying in touch is more important than ever.

We have adapted how we connect with you, to ensure we remain compliant with state laws, while ensuring we show up when you need us the most.  Although we were excited to visit you in your local communities with eBay UpFront, we have decided to take these events virtual for now.  For those sellers already registered, please look out for an email from us detailing everything you need to know.  We’ve had great success connecting with groups of sellers through our Seller Check-Ins, so we have no doubt this is a great solution for UpFronts as well.

Empower

eBay is, and has always been, powered by sellers.  Our role is to empower your growth.  Knowing that growth comes from knowledge, we will be piloting a new Learning Management System, Seller School, this quarter for sellers.  Whether you’re new or seasoned, we want to equip you with everything you need to know to be successful on the platform.  Seller School will be opened gradually as we fill its virtual classrooms with videos, tutorials, worksheets and podcasts that will provide valuable practical guidance you can apply to your unique business.

Community

In 2018, we launched Retail Revival, an innovative, hands-on program designed to help local retailers “go global” by growing their business on eBay.  As the COVID-19 pandemic took hold, we quickly recognized the need to accelerate our plans to scale Retail Revival and its impact on our small business communities.  Within just a few weeks, eBay launched Up & Running, a new and expanded program to help U.S. retailers transition to selling online. The hope is that we could provide some quick relief and opportunity in this challenging time.  Working with teams across the business and with partners like American Express through the Stand for Small initiative, we will continue to invest in this important program to help meet the evolving needs of small businesses.

We have a lot to be proud of, as we think about our 25th story.  We look forward to telling it together, and continuing to build upon what we’ve created.
