Do you need help with identifying an item?

@hidy-hoo

She will be happy to help! 😝

Kidding aside, we will all try to figure out what the widget/item is.

All welcome.

Do you need help with identifying an item?

Well I have one, but it is listed so that would be a no no.

But all kidding aside, the combined knowledge of any group of eBayers is impressive.

Do you need help with identifying an item?

No. One of the kitchen utensils.

Why, do you have an idea on the black bowl?

Oh PLEASE, someone tell us more about those spring loaded convex tong thingies in the lot of kitchen utensils!  It has been a puzzlement for some time now.  Not my listing and I'm asking people to look at pargran3's listing, for education and entertainment only.  Tis a mystery to be solved.

whazzit - jpeg.jpgI guess I can do that since I have no personal interest in the listing.  I'm just the curious sort, and I love a good mystery.

Here ya go, for information and education only . . .

Not the best pic, but the best I can do; it won't go any larger.

The face of the grabby part is slightly convex, so when in the closed position the "lips" of the duck bill do not touch, but only slightly.

Spring loaded.

7" long.

Very curious item. Looks to be some kind of smasher or crusher.
