Did a quick skim. Love this one. Now eBay wants us to pay for advertising for them. Heck, I go out of my way to keep the word eBay OFF of my packages now. Ha! Okay, until we see the prices, it's hard to say, but I can't imagine their prices being so good on shipping supplies that I'll give them my bucks for them. We shall see.
eBay-branded shipping supplies
Later this month, sellers will be able to conveniently purchase affordable eBay-branded shipping supplies on eBay with quick handling time and free shipping. Premium-quality boxes, envelopes and tape are available at very competitive prices, providing you with one-stop shopping convenience for all your packaging needs. eBay-branded shipping supplies are eco-friendly, too.
eBay's definition of affordable must be based on the government's.

My guess is you would get the ones that don't get FIRED after 3 months as a CS rep for even "ebay" INCOMPETENCE, ones that can actually read the scripts they give them to read to you when you call...

Does "active content" include embedding an instructional/marketing video explaining the product you are selling?

There's a thread about that here:

I like your attitude on that! To me the "Reserve" is basically the starting Auction price anyway ... eBay even has a note stating that most items sell better WITHOUT a Reserve price ... duh, what's that tell us?!?

For some sellers, depending on the item, it helps them to have the lower starting price to generate more attention. The fees for reserves are pretty high from what I remember.
I don't use the feature and tend to be turned off when I see it on a listing, but if I want the item enough it would not stop me from making an attempt at purchasing it. If the reserve is close to the starting price it could work out, but in most cases (that I've seen) the reserve is way higher, therefore making it a waste of my time to bid.

We’ve heard from thousands of sellers who want to promote the eBay brand and grow their business on eBay. Shipping your items with the eBay logo on tape, boxes or mailers is a great way to drive consumer awareness about your eBay business and drive traffic back to eBay, which helps you and other eBay sellers. Sellers have also told us that the eBay logo creates an impression of value.
And because eBay-branded shipping supplies are produced in large quantities, you can buy these premium-quality shipping materials at very competitive prices.
I guess they mean creates an impression of value that says "steal me"!
The most disturbing word is "impression"...

@mr_lincoln wrote:I am reading some of the Store listing increases and find this the most interesting so far. They have upped the Auction Style listings from the lowest at 100 to 250 - 500 - 1000. This supports the fact that they (eBay) must have kept data on the revenue generated by this type of listing format, or listened to Sellers who shared success with this selling format. It also seems to point to eBay's core business from its early history that it is still a venue to come to in order to find the unique, rare, etc. item for sale.
NOW it makes sense to covert from the standard level to a Basic Store level ...
No offense, but I don't see how they've listened to me at all. I still won't get to use those auction listings in any category I want.
It still won't be like it was when I signed up for a store. BIN for the records I sell sucks. My sales went into the toilet trying to use BIN (even with BO).
I have complained religiously to eBay, and this is what they call listening?
I pay a store fee and can't use my PAID FOR (not "free") instertions whichever way, in whichever category I want.
Get a free account and you can.
That's utter crud.
I'll step off my soapbox now.....

I am going to the 50 without a store and now am going to do some listings on etsy.com. As a protest, I am also not going to buy as much on ebay.
