Is this Movado From Trump fake?
Hello. I got this watch from Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City as a 10 year anniversary gift. Hundreds were given. Changing the battery, I saw that the brand was spelled wrong on the case cover and it says Hong Kong. Is this fake? Thanks

·3 months agoI know nothing about watches, but doesn't the movement say swiss on it? I can't quite make it out. How do you know just the customized back isn't a replacement? I have to to assume that it would be cheaper to make custom backs over customizing real backs.

·3 months agoThat is not a Movado movement, Movado has those manufactured by ETA, usually the 955.102 movement. The watch, the case, the band and the movement are not Movado. The only thing real on the watch is the replacement battery.

OP3 months agoIt is a real battery but not from Mavado, it was just purchased on Amazon. It's an Energizer battery.

OP2 months agoThe hundred of employees didn't "want" the watch, as if they went and bought it themselves. It was given by Trump.

OP3 months agoIncorrect on both comments. My sister in law had it and I don't think she hardly used it. She just gave it back to me with some other jewelry. I might be able to hook you up with other day one employees so you can ask if the "story" is odd.

·3 months agoHow can you tell? The battery was made in Hong Kong, but lots of batteries are made there.

·3 months agoThe watch says it is made in Hong Kong, that is the stamping inside the back of the watch. It should say "Swiss Made" and have the Movado logo along with a serial number. On Movado, the movement is smooth the material is solid and flawless. Nothing looks off or is easily damaged. It is also heavier than most watches.
The band might be Movado but the watch, no.

·3 months agoMy street-corner "Rolex" says Swiss on the face and everything is spelled right. The guy had a huge box of them. He quickly accepted a US $10 instead of $20 and I got a souvenir from Dubai. It works but it's definitely not real anything!
Fun part: as we were walking off my friend turned back and said "The 20's fake too!"
