Need help authenticating a VINTAGE Dooney & Bourke Calvary Bag with no Serial # Tag
Summary: raesuit1 requested assistance in authenticating a vintage Dooney & Bourke Cavalry Bag that lacks a serial number tag. albertabrightalberta confirmed that the bag is genuine, identifying it as a Cavalry body bag with the Dooney style number R74.
Hi there! I purchased this vintage bag at a local flea market. I want to post her on eBay, but she doesn’t have her serial number tag. I did some research and saw that some of these bags pre-80s did not include tags. I want to confirm that before risking to sell on eBay. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Please note that I am new to this forum and your patience is also appreciated! Thank you! Rae

The bag is genuine and is called a Cavalry body bag. The Dooney style number is/was R74.

OP6 months agoMy apologies! Forgot to mention that the strap is not the original but Dooney! I purchased her without a strap and added a matching Dooney and Bourke strap that I had on hand.
