Are these real Chanel womans boots?
Summary: cooknbook101 is seeking advice on determining the authenticity of a pair of Chanel boots that were part of a deceased relative's estate. The boots exhibit typical Chanel qualities but have inconsistencies, such as black markings over the logo on the insole and unusual numbers in silver on the inside. One boot has a Chanel logo near the heel, while the other does not. They are requesting assistance in confirming the boots' authenticity.
Hi. I am tasked with selling a deceased relatives estate items collected in NYC in the early 2000s for a second hand shop. A fair number of these items are vintage luxury items. I have these leather mid calf boots that I am trying to determine if are real Chanel. They have all the appropriate qualities but have black markings crossing out the logo on the insole and there is a strange set of numbers in silver on the top inside which does not appear to be a typical model number. I have not seen anything else like these boots on the web. One of the boots has a Chanel logo near the heel but it is missing on the other boot, unfortunately. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!
