Resin figure sellers goldjinbao and superstuff886
Has anyone ordered from either of these sellers (they are both based in China): goldjinbao and superstuff886? They sell resin statues but some are on pre-order. They use these fake tracking numbers that say something is being delivered. One sent me an envelope with a letter saying here is my proof of purchase. These statues with shipping are close to $1,000 at times. They are well beyond the normal delivery window as some go into a few months into the future (when statue will be available.) Just wanted to know if these transactions are going to be something I will regret later. Normally I have statues at big companies not on Ebay that I have to wait as long as 1 year but I pay partial payments. These on Ebay are paid in full. Thanks.

Per ebay rules, sellers of pre-order items are not supposed to list them until the item's release date given by the Mfr. is 30 days or less away. You should never buy pre-order items that have a longer release date on ebay, especially from Chinese sellers.
While many of the resin statues are made in China for sale under license by the various studios, they are not allowed to sell them. However, the chinese constantly violate international copyright laws. Often the photos of the statues they sell are of the licensed ones, but they will not be the same quality as the ones you receive.

If that envelope had tracking, and that tracking number was uploaded to the listing in your ebay purchase history. That is a fake tracking number scam. If you tried to file an item not received dispute later on, they would use the tracking number showing a Delivered scan as proof that you received the item.
Hopefully, you have saved the envelope and letter, because you will be proof that you did not receive what you ordered. If you did not save the envelope you can still file an item not as described dispute. The seller will probably ask for a photo of what you received, but you are not required to send one. Once you file the not as described dispute, to not reply to any messages the seller sends you through ebay's regular message service. Their replies should all be in the dispute form that will be on your my ebay summary page. If there is no reply there within 3 days, on day 4 ask ebay to step in. eBay will force the refund.

eBay has no provision for sellers to be paid a deposit to reserve a pre-order item. That is why the authorized studios can sell their's in advance. So do not buy from any pre-order listing that is more than 30 days away from being released on this site.
You should have opened those seller's feedback profile pages. On the page that opens, click on the numbers of neutral and negative feedback they have received to read only those comments.
