How to tell if this Buzz Lightyear toy is worth selling?

I found this Buzz Lightyear toy at a yard sale today. I tried looking it up and noticed there are several different listings that are selling these and have sold these from prices ranging anywhere from just a few dollars to even over a thousand dollars. There's clearing something setting some apart from the others but I have no idea what it is. I'd like to know what this particular one I found today is and if its worth selling. It looks like it goes back many years due to the color and overall use of it. Does anyone recognize this particular model?

I guess I'll just list it and state that I don't know anything about it and see what happens. Maybe some people out there will see it and recognize its year and model.

Does it work? Value is higher if it works. Worth more if you clean it too. What happens when you put in new batteries and press all the buttons? I think he should talk.

The one you linked appears to be a different model than mine. I could tell by the laser light on the arm. The one you linked has a small dot shaped laser whereas on mine the laser is more shaped like a piece of rice. The chest sticker on each one is also different.

The battery area has corrosion in it due to the previous owner leaving batteries in it for too long so that will need to be repaired before its properly tested. I tried testing it with 2 AA batteries and all I could notice was the laser light would shine red and no other buttons worked. I don't know if thats due to the corrosion damage where the batteries go or if it just doesn't work anymore.
