Selling U.S. Stamp Mint Sheets by consignment on eBay

    U.S. Mint Sheets:

I have a very large collection of U.S. Mint Sheets  -- commemoratives, definitives, airmail etc.  They are all in excellent condition and in albums in a non smoking home.  I have many sheets from the 1930s and pretty much all of the issues up thru 2015.

Am not sure if this is the room to try to find someone but I know there must be sellers who do this.  I bought most of this collection from eBay one sheet at a time from various collectors over the years.  If you can help me or maybe direct me to another place to post this message, I’ll be very grateful.

What you are selling is not a sheet of stamps it is just a pane of stamps.  The Post Office never sold sheets of stamps.  Stamps were printed in government printing facilty (also sometimes by private subcontractors) in sheets that were made up in 2 or four panes (sometimes more than 4 panes), then cut into individual panes and shipped to Post Offices for sale.

Give them a break and don't be so pedantic. "Sheet" is the common term for these that most people use. If this person was writing a technical paper, your objective would be valid. But here it is not.

What do you have to sell in the 1930 range?

Exactly.  I sell in the stamp categories on eBay.  Most dealers use old discount postage.  I   buy  $500 lots for $250-300 on a regular basis.  And I'm always buying!

Likely best to sell them to a dealer then, they typically bring 40-70% of face, depending on how high the face is. Anything that adds up easily to the current postage rate will bring a higher price than the low face values. Any that are forever stamps you will get a higher price for, though likely still under face.

You've sold before, why not list them?

Way too much work and time for me now.  I'd rather someone else do the work and get their fee.  Thanks for your answer -- much appreciated.

Why not list them on your current eBay site?
