Production keyset disabled — exemption form does not match my use case (personal, non-commercial app
Hello,
I am an individual developer working on a personal, non-commercial Pokémon listing aggregator. The application uses the Browse API in read-only mode, ranks active listings against a personal price reference list I maintain myself, and stores only public listing data (item ID, title, price, condition, seller feedback score) in a local SQLite database on my own machine. No eBay user data is stored.
My Production keyset is currently disabled, with the Marketplace Account Deletion Notification message. When I open the exemption form, the only two reasons available are:
- "I do not persist eBay data" — false, since I store public listing data locally.
- "I am an eBay vendor" — false too, I am not a vendor.
Neither matches my situation: I do persist a small amount of public listing data, but I am a single individual using the API for myself only, on my own machine, with no user data involved.
I also tried to activate Developer Support on my Profile & Contacts page to open a ticket, but clicking "Activate Support" erases my contact details every time, in two different browsers, so I cannot create a ticket.
Two questions:
1. Is there a way to obtain an exemption for this kind of personal, local-only, read-only use case, given that the standard form does not fit?
2. Has anyone else encountered the "Activate Support" button erasing the profile? Any workaround?
Thanks for any guidance.
