API for comps
Can I just a little guy gain access to an API to pull sold comps out? Do they charge for this? How long does it take to get it?

I'm afraid there is no longer any official eBay API for sold listings.
They fully removed public access to it back in the beginning of 2025. Just as AI coding was becoming more relevant.
They now reserve access to it for "approved eBay partners only".
You can apply to become an eBay partner by submitting a full copy of your code for an "Application Growth Check."
But seriously... don't bother.
Many many users have tried and either ignored or denied. They simply do not approve small or individual developers for access to this anymore...
It's also worth noting that eBay states in their API Agreement:
"If you submit an application for review you grant eBay non-exclusive, royalty free, worldwide license to post, link to, and otherwise incorporate any part of your application into eBay services."
So in other words, you will almost surely be denied AND if you somehow managed to create something they like, they can just take it.
