Could anyone suggest an effective Promoted Listings campaign strategy?

I currently do not have a structured advertising strategy. I am running only one campaign with all of my listings included. While I am getting impressions consistently, the sales are not improving. Could someone recommend a more effective campaign strategy? I would appreciate advice on how to organize campaigns, set ad rates, group listings, and optimize performance to improve conversions and increase sales rather than just generating impressions.

Compeditor using duplicate listings to gain unfair advantage

Hello everyone, A competing seller is listing each item 2-3 times. This gives them an unfair advantage for visibility. Is there a more effective way to bring this to ebays attention besides reporting? This is a so called "top rated" seller blatantly violating the duplicate listings policy

"Buyer wants to shop more."? Ohhh, eBay. Such a comedian these days. Wow.

Um, yea.  Oh, hey there lil' seller.  My buyer wants to shop a little more, umm, k?  Only 7 days or so.  OK, thanks Seller.   - the worlds BIGGEST marketplace even the way it's written says 'eBay snotty'. "Buyer wants to shop morrrrre". OK there, eBay. Wow   Buyer won an auction.  Apparently some 'beta' program that who/when/why/how guy, buyer, scammer was opted into has reared it's ugly head again and I'm the lucky seller this time around?  Yea baby.   Can someone please enlighten me on this.  Small sale, but wow eBay, wow.  Just more stand up comedy from the 'world's largest marketplace'.  Unreal.     This is the 2nd time I've seen this.  First time around, the buyer didn't pay (yep, after 7 days).  Had to re-auction the item and it sold for over 25% less - just a mere ~$45 ish loss 15 days later.  Oh, and yea - unable to leave the a buyer negative feedback - that's right.     Someone has got to start getting this stuff out on X or find a fun, creative way to have a good time with this comical nonsense.  Borderline criminal.. definitely disrespectful, yet again.   Please, can someone please enlighten me?  Perhaps, not with the token corporate pompom's?  Day after day, after day...  selling on here just keeps getting more and more bizarre.     Buyer wants to shop more lol.  Wow.

Has anyone else noticed that eBay antique business fell off a cliff in May ?

Okay I know the antique business has been slowing down for a while now & it’s been ebbing & flowing but this last month has been extreme . I’m down like 75% and I’ve never had such low watchers / traffic by a long shot . Also more returns than ever . Everyone I know that sells here is saying the same thing so I know it’s not just me . Is it something new that eBay is doing or not doing ? Or something new I should be doing ? Also I’ve had auctions lately with many watchers & no or hardly any bids . Then people write & say their higher bid didn’t go through . Wth 🤦‍ ♀️ I feel like it’s just over & eBay doesn’t care , particularly about this category but I’m also curious if this is the case in other categories.

      BBE Seller Rating?

Greetings to all eBay Community members, I have been an eBay seller since 2012. Right now I am facing a problem for which I see no solution, because every communication with eBay Seller Support only leads to more uncertainty about the future of my store. In August, shipments from the EU to the USA were suspended due to the new customs tariffs. Shipping was restored only at the end of October. Foreseeing that this situation would cause problems, I contacted our store’s eBay account manager on 25.08.2025. The communication took place via WhatsApp to the number provided by the eBay account manager. Her reply on 26.08.2025 was: “Hello good day. eBay has sent a message regarding the US tariff update, and we advise you to speak with your shipping partner to confirm any changes in shipping costs, and to continue communicating with your buyer to keep them informed about this change. If you want to exclude your item to us you can remove your listing in us site and can list your item to other sites on eBay. eBay Account Manager Janine.” The only solution offered was to delete my listings on eBay.com — what kind of joke is this from eBay? When I asked if it is possible to temporarily disable shipping to the USA, I received no answer. There was no other explanation or guidance on how to proceed. As we all know, on eBay.com sellers cannot disable the USA as a shipping destination. Therefore, buyers in the USA were able to purchase items from EU sellers, even though shipping was physically impossible. I also could not find any option to place a banner or notice to warn USA buyers that delivery to the USA was suspended. For every USA buyer who purchased an item, I manually sent an explanation that the order must be cancelled because delivery was impossible. About 50% of buyers understood and some even repurchased the item later when shipping resumed. The other 50% marked these cancellations as defects. As a result, my BBE is currently 25.1%. I have no other violations or issues that would justify shutting down my store, but I fully understand that with this percentage my store will likely be closed within the next month. Already now, even though I have not received an official notification of store restriction or closure, eBay has clearly applied a hidden limitation on my account — after receiving the BBE warning, my store traffic dropped by 80%, and of course so did sales. One eBay representative told me that I “should not have selected ‘out of stock’,” which is completely untrue — I know that this option must not be used. I always selected “buyer asked to cancel order.” I repeatedly looked for information in eBay’s internal seller forums, and several sellers reported the same issue: there was absolutely no guidance available on how to properly handle this situation. This is what the Seller Protection Program states: “We remove defects and/or late shipments when things happen that are outside of your control, such as severe weather or carrier disruptions.” This information is published by eBay itself. And this situation was completely outside my control — shipping to the USA was entirely suspended and only resumed at the end of October. Here is the official information, publicly available to everyone. Plans to halt the flow of small packages and parcels to the US | International Post Corporation Postal services in Europe suspend parcel shipments to US amid uncertainty over tariffs | Tariffs | The Guardian Why eBay chooses to ignore this, or pretend not to know, I do not understand. Please find included the links with all the relevant references, including information from the Latvian Post website. Plāno apturēt sīkpaku un paku sūtījumu plūsmu uz ASV I am highly knowledgeable in my field, my customers appreciate us, and we strive to be the best in our industry. But I am not an IT specialist or a lawyer, and I cannot be expected to know the correct legal or administrative procedures in such a situation. eBay should have provided clear guidance on how to act so that sellers could avoid exactly the problem I am now facing. I would like to hear the opinion or advice of other EU sellers, because all communication with eBay so far has led to no useful solution. All replies I receive sound something like: “It’s your fault.” Thank you for understanding, and I wish you all a successful day.

Final straw:   Mailed a box 12x21x12 25lbs   Was charged $22.75   Ebay emailed an adjustment the dimensions were adjusted to:   Mailed box 12x24x12 25lbs   An additional $23.00 was added to the cost.   No, the dimensions were not incorrect, verified by UPS Store before they accepted it.   I can't dispute, I can't find a human to speak to.   Don't feel like typing the list of other issues since Ebay was curtained by India.   Nothing I can do about it.   Done.

      Need help-eBay has not

I’m so frustrated! I have contacted EBay multiple times. I have talked to agents and even a supervisor to try to get a negative removed after buyer sent abusive messages and lied in both messages and the review.  The first agent said it would be removed but I got an email stating it would not be removed due it was not as described. That was never the issue. I called back and the bot would only allow email which I did. No response. So i called again and talked to an agent and then a supervisor who said they get back to in 48 to 72 hours.  It’s been much longer. No follow up. What do I do???

NO CLICKS!!! eBay Promoted Offsite Campaigns Not Working—Has Anyone Experienced This?

Hi everyone, I'm reaching out to see if anyone else has encountered similar issues with eBay's Promoted Offsite campaigns. I've been selling on eBay for over 12 years and just started a new store in early July. After a few successful transactions, eBay activated the marketing features for promoting. We immediately started using both Promoted Listings and Promoted Offsite. While the Promoted Listings began working right away, the Promoted Offsite campaigns have never worked. I've tried running three different campaigns, each for over two weeks, with the suggested daily budgets, but we’ve received zero clicks on all of them. During this same period, we sold over 200 items, some of which had traffic coming from outside of eBay, but none of these sales came through an eBay ad, nor did we get a single click. This just doesn’t add up! We've contacted eBay support multiple times, but their response is that our campaign doesn’t include any listings. However, we aren't given the option to add or remove listings from a Promoted Offsite campaign. Instead, we're informed that all our listings qualify for the promotion. Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a solution? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Muchas gracias, Fernando The UpBeat Store

How to Improve eBay Listing Performance? Tips and Insights

Hello, everyone! I’m working on improving my eBay listings (category: motorcycle parts and accessories) and would love to hear your advice and experiences. Specifically, I’m looking for insights on the following: Performance Metrics How do you determine if a listing's impressions, CTR (Click-Through Rate), and STR (Sales Conversion Rate) are in a “healthy” range? At what point do you decide that a listing needs improvement, and how do you prioritize changes? Improving Listings What are the key signs that it’s time to: Add or update photos? Change the title or improve item specifics? Do you have a checklist or process for evaluating and enhancing underperforming listings? Low-Demand Listings How do you approach items that receive very few views or appear to have little demand? Would you recommend keeping such listings active, removing them, or focusing on products with a stronger sales history? Understanding "Good" Performance in Context I noticed that the Listing Quality Report sometimes shows a high ranking or “good” performance, but the actual numbers seem underwhelming. For example: A CTR of 0.8% and an average of 7 views per day per listing might be ranked well (e.g., 70th out of 3,000 sellers), but the top seller in the category achieves results 10x better. Our goal is to become a top seller and lead the category. What strategies do you recommend for closing this performance gap and achieving top-tier results? Additional Context One important factor is that we list items in bulk using automation. Individual manual adjustments to listings are not feasible, as we are working with thousands of listings. Additionally, manual changes would not make sense in this context, as the scale of our operation requires a more systematic and scalable approach. I’d appreciate any tips, strategies, or resources you can share that account for this kind of automated, high-volume workflow. Thanks in advance for your help!

      Sudden Sales Plummet

I've had the oddest several months, with NEARLY NO SALES. That's become a trend this year.     eBay once outsold my own website and Amazon. Now eBay's a distant third. I'm hoping the eBay Open will answer some questions for me, but that's not the route it's taken in prior years.   I've optimized listings, experimented with different kinds of promotions, tried listings with many and few photographs, removed listings for a week then relaunched them, tried different keywords, used Terapeak, and more.  Some tactics have worked for a week or two, the others have not.  All listings are within the same product category.    Is anyone else facing this challenge? Do you think it's temporary or permanent? Do you have any suggestions?
