Makers Mark Identification

I have a sterling carving set and I'm trying to identify the maker and pattern. Google and Co-pilot each give me answers that do not match up with my mark or pattern. Does anyone happen to recognize the marks or pattern? The suggestions were Wallace or Whiting but neither seem correct. Thanks for any help! Thank you!

Hallmarks

Curious if anyone can identify these Hallmarks on this sugar spoon, I believe itâ€™s Sheffield based on the crown and I see initials JG below it, and I can make out what I believe is A and a 1 but the other 2 symbols Iâ€™m not sure of, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. â€ƒ â€ƒ

What could this be?

Good morning, I found this handsome dog at a thrift store. It is marked Meriden silver, so I googled that. However, I cannot find any info on this particular piece. The chair opens so I was thinking a ring/trinket holder? Thank you for your help.

Anybody know the purpose of this Silver Oneida hinged jar?
It opens about 1/2 way, and there is some copper color showing through in the bottom. Perhaps it originally had a glass liner? What would it be for? Thank you!
