Media Mail offered on items listed with only USPS Ground Shipping

On recent orders of items that were listed for USPS Ground Advantage shipping, somehow the buyer was offered and selected Media Mail. When I filter my listings for Ground Advantage shipping poliocy, these items appears as they should. However, when I go to the listing, it shows Media Mail as the shipping option. This is a recent problem. Anyone else experiencing this issue. As always, it's extremely difficult to contact Ebay about the problem.

      Seller shipping options hidden

I listed an item and ebay applied flat rate shipping which I didn't want. I always want to use the calculate shipping cost option. I don't remember this being the case in the past but the buttons to choose calculate cost vs flat rate are hidden. In the seller listing creation page in the shipping section you don't see the options on the page. You have to click on a small line of grey text that brings up a popup to see the options. I missed seeing it and the flat rate option was applied which cost me a good chunk of money because the item wasn't just a small item. Did this page change recently where those options are hidden?

Need help: Damaged UPS shipment with eBay label stuck in shipping loop. UPS says only eBay can file claim.

Need help: Damaged UPS shipment with eBay label stuck in shipping loop. UPS says only eBay can file claim. I'm hoping someone has dealt with this before because I've spent days going back and forth between UPS and eBay without any resolution. I sold a Pride Go-Go mobility scooter and purchased the shipping label through eBay. The package was damaged in transit before it could be delivered to the buyer. The problem is that the package has been bouncing between Florida and Texas for over a week. It keeps showing "Out for Delivery," then "Returning to Sender," then ends up in another UPS facility. Neither the buyer nor I have been able to inspect the damage because it never actually arrives anywhere. My return address has changed since the label was created. UPS has repeatedly told me they cannot change the return address because the label was purchased through eBay and eBay is listed as the shipper. They also tell me I cannot file a damage claim because the shipment is restricted, and I receive the following error: "Unfortunately we cannot process your claim. The sender has restricted claims for this package. Please reach out to them directly for assistance. (UPS:E022)" UPS has told me multiple times that eBay must initiate the claim or otherwise authorize it. The problem is that eBay support keeps sending me back to the UPS claims website, which immediately rejects the claim with the error above. I've now contacted eBay several times and have received conflicting answers from different representatives. One says to file with UPS, UPS says only eBay can do it, and another eBay representative suggested refunding the buyer without addressing the damaged shipment or insurance claim. The buyer has been very patient throughout this process, and I want to make sure they receive a full refund. I also need to recover the value of the damaged item through the shipping insurance, but I'm currently stuck because neither company will take ownership of the claim. Has anyone successfully resolved a situation like this with an eBay shipping label? Specifically: How did you get eBay to actually file or escalate the UPS damage claim? Is there a department or phone number that handles restricted UPS claims purchased through eBay? Has anyone dealt with a package endlessly cycling between UPS facilities after being marked damaged? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. At this point I just need someone to take ownership of the claim instead of being sent back and forth between UPS and eBay.

      FEDEX shipping charge adjustments

I've gotten ship adjustment charges on FEDEX shipped packages at what seems to be an unusually high rate of occurrence. (Ive had 4 adjustment in the last 6 months amounting to approx $90 total). I just paid the adjustments and finally stopped using FEDEX for a bit but just recently shipped an item FEDEX economy to test the system. The package was 3 lbs. and 15" x4" x2". I purposely increased the dimension sizes by 2" in each direction and the weight to 5 lbs. I kept increasing the size and weight incrementally until the cost increased from the original charge to the next increment. Since the weight was now double and the package was larger in size I would have no issues. Low and behold FEDEX sends me an adjustment for $1.38 on an original cost of $10.70 now totaling 12.08 claiming the package weighed 6.8 lbs. My problem isn't about the money, it is insignificant in the total scheme of things but this seems like at best FEDEX taking advantage of me assuming I would not complain about it because the amount was so small or at worst this is blatant fraud. This seems to be a recurring pattern only with FEDEX. Has anyone else had this happen and have you gotten a resolution. It seems like there could be a class action lawsuit in the making if this is widespread.

I received a message asking if someone bought more than 1 item would they have to pay for each shipping? I am glad to bundle but not sure how to do this. Any help would be appreciated. Would it involve some type of refund? Thanks

Seller refusing cancellation request before shipping

I originally placed an order with this seller, but they unexpectedly canceled it. “Unfortunately, the seller had to cancel your order due to the following reason: Something was wrong with the buyer's shipping address.” Because of that experience, I no longer wanted to purchase from them. I reordered before deciding I no longer wanted the items and submitted a cancellation request almost immediately after placing the new orders. I requested cancellation the same day I placed my orders, and the seller didn’t respond until 4 business days later. During that time, the orders remained unshipped. They are now saying it’s “too late” to cancel, even though the items still haven’t shipped. “We couldn't cancel your order because it's too late to cancel. You should receive your order by Jul 20, 2026. You may contact the seller to return it once you receive it.” I genuinely don’t understand why a seller would refuse to cancel an order that hasn’t shipped yet. Is there a reason some sellers do this? I am going to end up returning the items anyway.

      Shipping small packages with ebay

Why was Ebay management caught with their pants down on the shipping issue? Why wasn't the eBay community given any advance notice? How did all of eBay's major competitors have shipping solutions in place and operating while eBay has none? USPS raised its shipping rates astronomically with $7.68 for a one ounce to 4 ounce package with tracking. FedEx and UPS immediately followed suit. With the ridiculous shipping expense, outrageous eBay fees, ad cost and taxes, there are no proceeds left to cover the cost of the products, labor, packaging, additional eBay store fees, etc. much less any profit. Ebay always exhorts us to charge less and less for our product offerings, but eBay has never reduced our fees in 23 years of dealing with them.

How to become an eBay Shipping Provider

Does anyone know how to become a shipping provider for eBay orders? I run a shipping fulfillment company using Pitney Bowes as the label provider and have a lot of users who sell on eBay. I'd like to push up tracking numbers and updates so these users can meet their eBay SLAs. I've already contacted the eBay Dev team and they keep saying to contact the eBay Shipping Business Unit, but I have no idea how to do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the volume of shipments has grown to over 80k in the past view months and I need to help my users meet the eBay shipping requirements. I was also told that deb@shipping might be able to help but I can't reach them either.

When a seller tells you a cap on shipping and then changes it down the road.

I write many messages to sellers about their shipping window and the charge they apply to each additional card, since many do not list it. So, I like to know how to bid going forward. Here is my initial exchange. My iniitial message "How much for additional shipping on each card won?" They, responded "It is an extra $1 for each card but if you request an invoice before payment, we can give you a combined shipping rate capped at $8.” So, I sent them the following message. Can you send me an invoice capped at $8. Thanks won 25 cards including the Ovy. Just lmk and thanks for everything” So, we go for a few months, and I keep bidding, and they keep increasing the shipping cost, which I question them about as I start winning more and more cards. My last exchange was this to explain my frustration. "Can you explain how you calculate your shipping? I bought 43 items with shipping of 17.99, then 55 items with shipping of 26.99. How do you charge an extra 9 dollars for 12 additional items? Just trying to figure it out, I might as well stop bidding on a lot of the low-level cards no one wants. If I get charged close to a dollar for those cards, it breaks down to .75 cents a card extra. I know you say it's a $1 item, and that is fine if you're going to do that, but if it keeps increasing, I need to know, as I have messages exchanged when I first started bidding, and the charges have been going up. If you're going to go to the 1 per item in the future, lmk as I will stop bidding on a lot of the low-end cards. Just want the guidelines, since you definitely did not charge me $ 55 for the items I won. Thanks and paid. They respond “sorry about that. Shipping is 6.99 plus + $1 For every additional card. The Shipping fee it was telling me to charge Was closer to $50 and the cost is calculated by the weight of the package and number of cards. Since I packed the orders and recognized the username I decided to give you a minor shipping discount on the one order. I Hope this is not too confusing to understand but obviously a single card in an envelope will be cheaper to ship than 50 cards in a parcel. I Hope this helps. Have a great day!” So, you recognize my userid with the hundreds of items I won from you and bid up over the months, but you forget your message to me about an $8 cap.  Just put my smallest order of 6 cards for $12 shipping. Guess they didn't remember my name when they sent that invoice, LOL.   No message was ever sent to mention they would just be giving me arbitrary discounts, or that the last order would incur the full shipping charge. People's words mean a lot to me in long-term dealings, and if you cannot honor your word or contact me to let me know about any changes, then it's not for me. Sold 2 small items to same buyer at same address can I combine shipping in one package

Dear eBay, I sold 2 small sets of tennis string to the same buyer at the same address. I was paid for both items and separate shipping fees for both items. Can I combine both items in one package for shipping , and if so, what happens to the additional payment that has been made intended for separate shipments? How do i address this?
