Is there a community of eBay sellers who want to upload listings using CSV reports?

I'm looking to develop a more efficient process for listing items. I'd like to upload CSV files which I recently learning how to do, and it works pretty well. eBay Reports tab in Seller Hub offers two basic kinds of uploads for new listings: draft or launch. The draft listing allows you to create draft listings and then use eBay's very user-friendly tools to modify the listing, upload photos, and schedule a launch. The launch function is rather raw and probably works best with more sophisticated interfaces (I use MS Excel). ' What I'd like, if it's possible, is a version of the launch new listing report that actually creates a draft. That way, I don't need to fiddle with photo URLs required by launch report (manually uploading instead - which allows me to inspect the photos before launch). Also, for my product category, the item specific columns available in the launch report is much better than the draft report, and allows me to avoid busy work. Sometimes I wonder if anyone is listening or if there's a community of sellers who want to improve efficiency of their stores using CSV uploads. Andy

Need help: Damaged UPS shipment with eBay label stuck in shipping loop. UPS says only eBay can file claim.

Need help: Damaged UPS shipment with eBay label stuck in shipping loop. UPS says only eBay can file claim. I'm hoping someone has dealt with this before because I've spent days going back and forth between UPS and eBay without any resolution. I sold a Pride Go-Go mobility scooter and purchased the shipping label through eBay. The package was damaged in transit before it could be delivered to the buyer. The problem is that the package has been bouncing between Florida and Texas for over a week. It keeps showing "Out for Delivery," then "Returning to Sender," then ends up in another UPS facility. Neither the buyer nor I have been able to inspect the damage because it never actually arrives anywhere. My return address has changed since the label was created. UPS has repeatedly told me they cannot change the return address because the label was purchased through eBay and eBay is listed as the shipper. They also tell me I cannot file a damage claim because the shipment is restricted, and I receive the following error: "Unfortunately we cannot process your claim. The sender has restricted claims for this package. Please reach out to them directly for assistance. (UPS:E022)" UPS has told me multiple times that eBay must initiate the claim or otherwise authorize it. The problem is that eBay support keeps sending me back to the UPS claims website, which immediately rejects the claim with the error above. I've now contacted eBay several times and have received conflicting answers from different representatives. One says to file with UPS, UPS says only eBay can do it, and another eBay representative suggested refunding the buyer without addressing the damaged shipment or insurance claim. The buyer has been very patient throughout this process, and I want to make sure they receive a full refund. I also need to recover the value of the damaged item through the shipping insurance, but I'm currently stuck because neither company will take ownership of the claim. Has anyone successfully resolved a situation like this with an eBay shipping label? Specifically: How did you get eBay to actually file or escalate the UPS damage claim? Is there a department or phone number that handles restricted UPS claims purchased through eBay? Has anyone dealt with a package endlessly cycling between UPS facilities after being marked damaged? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. At this point I just need someone to take ownership of the claim instead of being sent back and forth between UPS and eBay.

      Live selling and ebay's future...

With the addition of live selling, it sort of feels like ebay is splitting into two distinct selling platforms. Not sure what will happen in the future - if this will be beneficial or not - but hopefully the live format will attract more eyes to existing stores, buy it now, and auction listings. What is your experience? Are you seeing more traffic now that live selling is so widely promoted?

Major Bug Demotes Seller Below Standard

I am perplexed on how to fix this because everyone I have communicated with eBay on the phone has hung up on me, or just shrugs their shoulders. Yet the more I think about this, it can literally happen to anyone of you, and so my hope is now with your help this can land on the correct eyes who can fix this. There is a crucial bug that my account is now being subjected towards, that can happen to anyone else, allow me to explain briefly as many here can relate. I offer free 30 day returns on all my listings. A customer bought 2 different items from my shop in 1 order. Then opened 2 return requests one 1) changed mind 2) claimed I sent the wrong item. Where the problem escalates from here is, they never shipped back one of the return IDs. All they did was go to USPS at a self checkout kiosk and self scan the label. That triggers eBay system to think it was shipped when in fact it wasn't. So once they do that, it updates the return saying the item is on it's way. Then uses the timeframe it thinks it should be delivered back to update the return claiming "you should have received the item back" then forces me to either refund the customer or do nothing. If I do not refund the customer they can escalate which is what my customer did. Even though he knows nothing was ever returned he scammed the system into deducting the money from my account which affects me partially, until I submit an appeal. Appeal granted, I got my refund back, eBay loses the money, and defect is removed. So whats the problem? Literally ANY shop could demoted with this knowledge and I'm only sharing this here now because everyone at eBay previously ignored me and seemingly doesn't care yet chooses to work at eBay? My customer escalated this on July 19th, I sent an appeal for this on July 19th, received a response on July 20th granting my appeal. However due to timing or something, the new valuation on July 20th DOES NOT include my appeal so it deems now as Below Standard. This effectively implies literally anyone offering free 30 day returns could be subjected to this. Is it likely? Probably not. Right now my shop should be Top Rated. It shows next valuation I am Top Rated. This is entirely a formality that literally anyone at eBay that has ability to, could fix, yet doesn't want? I don't have a family so while this is not the end of the world if I have less sales for end of July into August, it still shouldn't happen. I work really hard to maintain Top Rated status. I am effectively being penalized for offering more customer service than most sellers do? When you are Below Standard your listings are demoted. This doesn't speak towards the benefits of Top Rated like the badge, extra sales for perception of trust, and small discounts on every listing sold, it is the act of them taking listings that would populate on the first page moving them all the way to the back and penalizing me because I'm "below standard" which is intended to do so rightfully so, if you deserve it, but I don't. Sorry for lengthy post, hopefully this gains a little traction and I can either delete this myself if eBay doesn't want to fix this broadly, and just my account or eBay both fixes my account and broadly fixes this bug because it is 100% a loophole that anyone else could do. I am not going to do it, but I have many competitors, if I wanted too, I could get them all demoted next month. All it is, is a matter of timing. I don't care enough to do this and would rather focus on myself then harming others but the point still stands.

I'm trying to list an item for the first time and sell it. I go through making a seller account and update details but when I go to list it this error comes up upon loading "Seller Onboarding" Happens on both iOS app and desktop web version. At the time I wrote this live chat support is closed and they stopped messaging through Facebook. All eBay services are currently up as I post this

Urgent: Account Restricted Immediately Post-Registration - Request for Manual Review

Hello, I am seeking assistance from a Community Manager regarding the immediate restriction placed on my account, 'shinhebi', following my registration. This occurred before I had the opportunity to list any items or complete the verification process. I am a French entrepreneur currently residing in Thailand. I have established a legitimate US LLC with a valid EIN to conduct my international e-commerce business. It appears the automated system may have flagged my account due to the geographical disparity between my US corporate registration and my current location. I have all necessary documentation readily available, including my passport, IRS EIN assignment letter, Articles of Organization, and business bank statements. I am fully prepared to undergo any identity or business verification process required. Could a moderator please assist me in escalating this case to the Trust & Safety team for a manual review? I am confident that once a human agent reviews these documents, this misunderstanding will be resolved. I appreciate your time and support.

Is it possible to request a courtesy review of expired transaction defects?

Hello everyone, I am looking for guidance from experienced sellers and any eBay moderators who may be able to provide advice. I currently have several historical transaction defects on my account, primarily: • Out-of-stock cancellations • One case closed without seller resolution These defects occurred between July and December 2025 and are now outside the standard appeal window. Since then, I have significantly improved my inventory management and fulfillment processes and have had no similar issues. I understand that the defects were valid at the time and I am not disputing that they occurred. However, I am wondering whether eBay ever grants courtesy reviews or exceptions for older defects when a seller has demonstrated improved performance and compliance. Has anyone successfully had historical defects reviewed or removed after the appeal period expired? If so: • Which department did you contact? • What information did you provide? • Was Seller Performance able to assist? I appreciate any advice or experiences you can share. My goal is to ensure my account reflects my current performance as a seller. Thank you.
