I made an electronics order, but had to cancel it due to seller lies. After 6 business days, only a label had been created, but the package not dropped off to USPS. I received long, unbalanced replies about 6G dangers, fictional 2 foot rain totals in his area, and rolling blackouts that were not happening anywhere in his state. I asked for and received a refund for the stereo receiver, but I also purchased an All State protection plan, and I cannot make any headway getting a refund for the protection plan. I managed to actually speak to a human about this who said the Protection plan would automatically cancel within a few business days. It has not canceled. When I try to address this through the chat "help" system, I am always asked to choose an item that is being returned, and protection plans do not ever appear on this list. Calling phone customer support is an exercise in torture. The AI "assistant" functions more as a gaslighter. Like most AI help systems that cannot possibly help, one or tow words will be pulled out of context, and like a deliberately crippled search engine, gives you results based on the single word it recognized and nothing else. It is impossible to describe a problem with context to a system designed to frustrate users to the point that we give up. So, how do I get eBay to refund me for the All State protection plan I purchased for the stereo receiver I ordered, then had to cancel because the shipper offered easily-refuted lies for having not yet sent it? The receiver refund has already processed, but the protection plan remains.
