      Canceling final sale item

I have a buyer that was asking for a cancellation of an item (Pokémon card) attempting to reach me before shipping went out . The item was listed as final sale. Due to a time zone difference he reached out to me later that day and because of it being a Friday I got the shipping out fairly quick before the weekend ( for ref; I accepted the order around 0830 and shipped are noon est. He reached out around 1730 est). I informed him I don't really mind working a refund but I would have to get in touch with eBay Cust support first to see due to it being a final sale. I used promotion for the item which took a chunk of funds out and I have also sent it to the authenticator. What should a recommend solution be? Can I even return it? Would I be in the negative due to the ad promotion or does that get returned as well? Thank you.

      Question on Promoted Listings

When I list, eBay keeps telling me that others have these types of items promoted. They want me to promote my listings. Sometimes I do, but they take so much out of my profit that it does not seem worth it. These promotions really eat into my already tiny profit. If I do not promote my items, it seems it takes forever to make any sales. They do not show my items. My prices are already as low as I can afford. Do others use promotions, and do you think it is worth it? I would like to hear what other sellers think of this. Thanks!!

Pay to Promote Listings - Is it worth it?

I have noticed that since it's now free to sell on eBay I'm actually selling less and at a much lower price.    I don't currently promote any of my listings, but when I saw an eBay quote : "50% of items like this are currently being promoted on eBay" I thought that this could be the reason why my items aren't being seen or getting many clicks like they used to.    If promoted items are getting placed above mine, should I also be promoting my listings? I see that this may be the new way that eBay is making their money.   Am I being stupid not promoting my items?   Would be good to hear opinions on this and find out wether promoting would boost my clicks and sales.

Promoting is the new extra tax we all need to pay to play?

I’m curious how other resellers approach promoted listings on eBay. My goal is to sell most items within 30 to 60 days. I carry a very wide variety of inventory, so I do not have one specific target audience or product category that consistently brings buyers back to my store. or get repeat sellers because i also don't usually carry many multiples. When I do not promote my listings, views and sales seem to slow down significantly. When I use promoted listings, I usually get better traffic and more sales, but the additional fees can eat into the profit, especially on lower-margin items. Has anyone successfully reduced or completely stopped using promoted listings while still maintaining steady sales? Do you promote everything, only slow-moving items, or adjust the promotion rate based on competition and profit margin? I would appreciate hearing what strategies have actually worked for other resellers with diverse inventory.

      MARKETING AND ADVERTISING

I have been using marketing, but I am an individual not a store so I can't afford for any item to be at 12%. I put in no more than 10% on anything because if I do it eats up all of my profit. After putting in the percentage after clicking off it changes to a higher amount on its own. I just sold an item for $100 after the 12% that it is taking all on its own because I put 10%, I now have given the item away for free, but marketing and eBay still made a profit. How do I stop that from happening? I love eBay, marketing and for giving me an easy platform, but come on! I have been wondering if marketing was worth it?

      Offsite Ads - no control

Is there really no way to control at the very least which items to include or exclude from an Offsite campaign? It was performing great before but suddenly it changed to All Eligible listings and the algorithm thinks its a great idea to spend over 80% of my budget on Defective listings that we have for a high traffic item that already gets good traffic organically. This change has killed my Offsite campaigns and has led to having to pause them since the ROAS and ACOS dipped significantly.

Could anyone suggest an effective Promoted Listings campaign strategy?

I currently do not have a structured advertising strategy. I am running only one campaign with all of my listings included. While I am getting impressions consistently, the sales are not improving. Could someone recommend a more effective campaign strategy? I would appreciate advice on how to organize campaigns, set ad rates, group listings, and optimize performance to improve conversions and increase sales rather than just generating impressions.

      Tips to increase eBay sales

My listings have attractive images that can catch buyers' attention, and I have optimized the titles and descriptions carefully. However, even after making the listings active, I receive very few views. I don't want to use paid advertising, but I still want to generate sales organically. Could any please suggest effective ways to increase visibility and sales without advertising?

      How to increase sell

I am having difficulty increasing my sales. My account is active every day—I create and revise listings regularly, respond to buyers on time, ship and deliver orders promptly, and maintain daily activity. My listings have high-quality images and accurate descriptions, yet my sales are not growing. I'm not sure what I might be doing wrong. Can someone please guide me on what I should improve or focus on to help grow my business and increase sales?

Promoted Listing Fee Calculation is Evil

The way ebay is calculating the fees on promoted listings are evil , ebay is  just letting sellers with the lowest possible profit, this is not fair for sellers and buyers, ebay's greed is worst every year. While they should be calculating the promoted listing fee only to the base price of the item, they go beyond that and calculate it to the final price including taxes and shipping costs, that's amazing seeing how they take advantage on everything only for their own benefit. sellers and buyers are struggling to offer and get better prices, at the same time we're competing against amazon and walmart, so we hardly can expect to get decent profit margins. Honestly I do not see a good future to ebay market, ebay is making their own business disappear , maybe they're squeezing the last drops from what years ago, was a great business.
