Promoting is the new extra tax we all need to pay to play?

I’m curious how other resellers approach promoted listings on eBay. My goal is to sell most items within 30 to 60 days. I carry a very wide variety of inventory, so I do not have one specific target audience or product category that consistently brings buyers back to my store. or get repeat sellers because i also don't usually carry many multiples. When I do not promote my listings, views and sales seem to slow down significantly. When I use promoted listings, I usually get better traffic and more sales, but the additional fees can eat into the profit, especially on lower-margin items. Has anyone successfully reduced or completely stopped using promoted listings while still maintaining steady sales? Do you promote everything, only slow-moving items, or adjust the promotion rate based on competition and profit margin? I would appreciate hearing what strategies have actually worked for other resellers with diverse inventory.

      Offsite Ads - no control

Is there really no way to control at the very least which items to include or exclude from an Offsite campaign? It was performing great before but suddenly it changed to All Eligible listings and the algorithm thinks its a great idea to spend over 80% of my budget on Defective listings that we have for a high traffic item that already gets good traffic organically. This change has killed my Offsite campaigns and has led to having to pause them since the ROAS and ACOS dipped significantly.

Could anyone suggest an effective Promoted Listings campaign strategy?

I currently do not have a structured advertising strategy. I am running only one campaign with all of my listings included. While I am getting impressions consistently, the sales are not improving. Could someone recommend a more effective campaign strategy? I would appreciate advice on how to organize campaigns, set ad rates, group listings, and optimize performance to improve conversions and increase sales rather than just generating impressions.

      Tips to increase eBay sales

My listings have attractive images that can catch buyers' attention, and I have optimized the titles and descriptions carefully. However, even after making the listings active, I receive very few views. I don't want to use paid advertising, but I still want to generate sales organically. Could any please suggest effective ways to increase visibility and sales without advertising?

So I set up a checking account to get my payouts sent to., so on my PayPal I gave them my account and routing number for my PayPal card, debiit MasterCard, the account number for that, well payout was released and it said it was sent, well checked my PayPal it was not there so got back on eBay and checked the account, everything was correctly entered for my PayPal but it says chime card, I don't have a chime card, have not ever set one up if I did then it had to of been over 5 years ago and to my understanding that card would not be open for a account due to never used it and never set up, so I'm clueless to what the heck happened, cause that account and routing number is Fully To My PAYPAL ACCOUNT, anyone have this happen to them?? If so would you know what i am to do to fix this??? Amy kind of help would be awesome, thanks EBAY community. Please let me know. @dozerd45  @

Offsite search shows ended listings and not live listings

I don't know if this is a bug or a cash grab, but offsite ads includes ended listings and these will show up sometimes before active listings.

eBay Protection Money: "Your ad rate cap is low and may prevent your ads from being seen"

I know that eBay staff reads at least some of these messages. I hope that this one will gain some traction.    I've been with eBay for 26 years. Back in the day, we were just people selling stuff in our attics and garages. How much we got didn't matter all that much because we valued our items at essentially nothing. We paid a listing fee and a FVF and that was it. But this is now, and we are buying items from people who eBay, helpfully, allows to look up "sold" prices on the site or app. This means that we no longer have 90% margins on the items we sell. We have, after our regular business expenses, maybe 10-25% profit margin. And as time goes on, eBay is demanding more and more "protection" money for the privilege of showing our items to customers. I have lately been receiving the message " Your ad rate cap is low and may prevent your ads from being seen " when I promote my items. Really? If I don't give you AT LEAST FIVE percent of my sales PLUS listing fees, PLUS store fees, PLUS final value fees, you aren't going to let people see my listing?   In many categories, the "recommended" bribe to be seen on the first couple of pages is 10-25%. eBay, as a company with no products to sell, has a huge profit margin. Most sellers don't. How are we supposed to make a living and pay our bills if eBay takes more and more of our already slim profit margins, just for the privilege of being seen?

      On (TODAY'S) Advanced Ads

For a year or two now On Advanced Ads I have to change every single Ad by hand to the Today setting.  Can not the Default be TODAY on the CPC?   Since that is the relevant and Real Time Stat?  That would be a nice addition to the Drop Down Menu (See Image)
