System error allows 3 buyers for a single listed item. One canceled order left a negative review. EBAY- denied my request for removal because I canceled the order not the buyer, even though that's what I was informed to do by the EBAY help chat.
I've been an ebay member and buyer since 2005. Less than two weeks ago, I started selling my old collectibles on ebay. I made over 40 sales and everything was going smooth. Then, I listed a single item last Friday and when I woke up, I had 3 different buyers who had bought and paid for the item. I double checked the listing and it was listed as a quantity of 1. Through the help chat and articles it said I had to cancel the extra orders. I canceled two of the orders and explained what happened. One of them who is a reseller, left me negative feedback after I explained. I sent him screenshots verifying everything and asked that he take down his review. He hasn't responded and ebay denied my request for the removal of the negative feedback because I was the one who canceled the order and not the buyer, even though that's exactly what I was informed to do from the same help chat. My rating went from 100% to 83%. Any other sellers ever experience anything like this? Any suggestions beyond contacting the buyer again and requesting removal? Thanks in advance.

New Seller
Am new to selling on Ebay. i have two items I'm trying to list. One is valued at approximately $120 - $150. the other is valued at $250 - $500.00. Neither listing was not accepted. I'm not a professional seller, just have several items I would like to sell. Any advise? Thank you

Additional Charges for Fedex Shipping...Charged over $400 in additional charges

I am a new seller on ebay and specialize in shipping bike frames that typically weigh about 15 pounds maximum...I ran out of the typical box that I ship these frames in so opted to purchase a bike box from Fedex and paid extra to have them package my bikes. Now a week later, I am being charged OVER $400 per item shipped for each item I sent out with claims that each item that was shipped out weighed 90 pounds which is impossible unless they are stuffing the box with bricks. I have gotten no help from Ebay and I cannot get anyone on the phone from Fedex. Has anyone else experienced this!? This has eaten up any profit I had and is costing me a significant amount of money...it would have cost me less to just give the items away!

Is it possible to request a courtesy review of expired transaction defects?

Hello everyone, I am looking for guidance from experienced sellers and any eBay moderators who may be able to provide advice. I currently have several historical transaction defects on my account, primarily: • Out-of-stock cancellations • One case closed without seller resolution These defects occurred between July and December 2025 and are now outside the standard appeal window. Since then, I have significantly improved my inventory management and fulfillment processes and have had no similar issues. I understand that the defects were valid at the time and I am not disputing that they occurred. However, I am wondering whether eBay ever grants courtesy reviews or exceptions for older defects when a seller has demonstrated improved performance and compliance. Has anyone successfully had historical defects reviewed or removed after the appeal period expired? If so: • Which department did you contact? • What information did you provide? • Was Seller Performance able to assist? I appreciate any advice or experiences you can share. My goal is to ensure my account reflects my current performance as a seller. Thank you.

Claim denied despite extra S&H coverage

i am a new seller who purchased through eBay endorsed options, a UPS shipping label plus extra shipping liability coverage. I brought mirrored medicine cabinet to a UPS store, paid for a box and for them to package the cabinet and use the eBay generated shipping label. The cabinet was delivered broken, in pieces and have lots of pics from buyer showing how poorly the item was packaged (without sufficient padding). I refunded the buyer immediately which I thought was the appropriate and correct thing to do. I filed a claim with eBay and UPS and have been getting the run around for months with many calls and emails to UPS Claims and eBay. Neither is taking accountability and I am out nearly $700 and eBay still charged me for the shipping label, another $85. Has anyone had similar issues trying to get their claim approved - my next steps are taking legal action.

Hi! I recently shipped a necklace I had, and the buyer is reporting they didnâ€™t receive when I did ship, and the necklace was very valuable to me. I do not know if it got lost in the mail, or they are trying to scam, but I am a little frazzled as the necklace was worth a lot, and I donâ€™t want to have just lost it for nothing as it has both monetary and sentimental value. Thanks!
