      International Returns

When an international buyer returns an item through eBay International Shipping and the seller does not receive the merchandise back, what happens to that merchandise, who ultimately takes possession of it, and who receives any money generated from its liquidation or resale? @ebay.com

International Shipping Label to Return Item Hermes (in German) NOT Accepted in USPS

I a currently have an open case with Ebay thanks to the scam that a seller sent me from China. The shipping label to return my item is in German (Hermes) and is NOT accepted by USPS. Anyone had issues with ebay going back and forth having to re-explain about the shipping label and their lack of acknowledging the shipping label should be USA based? OMG the ebay support team really is bad and they are not reading anything!!!

Item delivered to wrong address in different country

I was wondering if anyone has dealt with a similar situation. I ordered a coat from a seller in Japan on the 10th of July. The seller shipped it out and everything was going smoothly until it reached the US. The package sat “Inbound Out of Customs” for over 10 days, before it was completely rerouted back to Japan. I figured that once it reached Japan it would be sent back to the US and continue on its way, but they delivered it? I’m not sure where they delivered it to, the USPS and EBay tracking just say it was delivered to Japan. I tried contacting the seller and they have not gotten back to me, and when I opened a case with EBay, they told me my package has been delivered and to just wait until the 11th to contact them again. They seller stops taking returns after the 14th, and I’m worried that if I wait until the 11th I will not be able to receive my money back or get the package.

Package is DELIVERED but eBay system cannot update the latest data from Speedex courier

Hi,   I sent a package to Greece via Speedex, the tracking of Speedex is entered into eBay but the eBay system is not able to update the latest data - the status is DELIVERED but eBay shows IN TRANZIT. The package has been delivered already more than 2 weeks, there is just some software problem (maybe the Greek language plays a role). How can I ask eBay to manually check the current status please?

9-Year Above Standard\Top Rated Seller Permanently Restricted Due to Automated BBE Filter Glitch. Need Advice/Mentor Help

Hello fellow sellers and mentors, I am writing to this community in a state of complete devastation, hoping to get some advice or guidance from experienced members. Recently, my 9-year-old active shop, "EmbroideriesShop" (which specializes in unique, high-quality handmade embroidery and patches), was hit with an automatic, indefinite selling restriction due to a BBE (Bad Buyer Experience) policy violation. When I contacted customer support, the agents sent template responses stating that my seller-fault defect rate rose to 12.01% and that the restriction was applied automatically by the system, leaving them with no technical ability to restore my account manually.

However, looking at my actual, objective metrics, this decision is an absolute mathematical anomaly: Top Rated Seller Badge: I hold the official "Top Rated Seller" badge multiple times with 100% positive buyer feedback . 9-Year History: I have successfully sold over 4,400 items and gathered 999 followers . Impeccable Service Metrics: My Item Not as Described defect rate is 0.00% (0 out of 190 transactions). My Item Not Received rate is only 0.53% (1 out of 187 transactions). The Cause of the Spike: The 12.01% defect rate spike occurred solely because of a single order cancellation during a short, low-volume sales month. This cancellation was due to a system glitch on my discount settings, which I have since completely fixed. How can a 9-year-old store with an active Top Rated badge and 100% feedback be permanently banned over a single transaction defect? The automated BBE filter completely ignored my flawless decade-long record, treating me as a high-risk seller. Since customer support agents claim they cannot bypass the automated decision, I am completely stuck. Has anyone experienced a similar automatic BBE ban on an established account? Is there a specific department, executive email, or legal path I can take to get a human being at eBay to manually look at these flawless metrics? I have attached my redacted metrics dashboard for reference. Any advice, guidance, or moderator escalation would be deeply appreciated. Thank you so much for your time and help. Best regards, Max EmbroideriesShop

Listings show "Will ship to Taiwan" but bidding fails with "cannot be shipped to Taiwan"

I'm a buyer in Taiwan with 600+ purchases from US sellers, so I'm very familiar with how international shipping normally works on eBay. Since last month, something has changed for Taiwan, and it looks like a bug. What used to happen: When I filtered search results to items that ship to Taiwan, each item showed its shipping cost in the search results, and the same cost appeared on the item page.

What happens now: 1. Search results still show shipping costs to Taiwan as before. 2. But when I open an item, the shipping section only says: "Will ship to Taiwan. Read item description or contact seller for shipping options." No cost is shown.
Worse, when I actually try to bid, I get: "Unfortunately, this item cannot be shipped to Taiwan"—even though the search results show a shipping cost and the item page says, "Will ship to Taiwan."
      4. If I open "See details" in the shipping section and switch the destination to other countries, most of them show an exact shipping cost. Taiwan seems to be specifically affected. I've confirmed with a seller that they use eBay International Shipping, so this appears to be a problem on eBay's side (eIS quoting/eligibility for Taiwan), not the individual seller's settings. Example item: 336673633792 Has anyone else in Taiwan (or other affected countries) seen this since around June 2026? Is this a known issue with eBay International Shipping to Taiwan, and is there any way to report it to eBay directly? Any workaround or official information would be appreciated. Thanks!

The buyer who is located in Germany and is stating they are not able to make the purchase, due to International Shipping not being enabled. Australian sellers and US Import Duties

This is a direct international sale from Australia to the United States using Australia Post. The buyer is responsible for U.S. import duties at checkout. However, Australia Post (partnered with Zonos) requires duties to be prepaid to comply with U.S. customs requirements, how does eBay reimburse or facilitate recovery of those prepaid duties from the buyer? Please cite the applicable seller policy.

possible scammer & refusing to pay their countries custom/tariff tax to receive delivery and eBay holding my payout

Hi, I am a new seller and sold my first 2 items to one person who lives in another country than myself. These items were both “no return”/“final sale items” and shipped the two items on June 25th, 2026. The buyer messaged me complaining & upset that I filled out the customs/tariff form out truthfully and legally. He was hinting that I shouldn’t have claimed what it really was and acted like I screwed him over. Because I filled it out “incorrectly” to the buyer, he was asked to pay the tax/tariff amount before it would be delivered. He complained that the ring was “cloudy” and not good, wanting a refund… but he has not even received the item, it’s still sitting in customs and has been since July 7th. I messaged the buyer multiple times asking if he was going to get his item or let me know if he’s not going to pay for the tax. He then complained about the 2nd item which was a gemstone saying “you did not tell me about the inclusions, I want a refund.” But funny thing is that I told him there were inclusions visible right in the eBay chat and even sent more close up pictures before he purchased. But now this buyer requested a return and refund for the gemstone. And now my payout is still on hold because he won’t pay for the countries customs/tariff tax on the first item and wants a return for the second even though we spoke in detail about the inclusions and quality. He won’t respond to any of my messages and just want the money from the items I sold and shipped to the person. How can I get eBay customer service to release the hold as I did my part as a seller and gave plenty of detail of both items before he made an offer. Want to get the hold off!!!

Buyer can't pay because seller won't sell to this location

Hello, I've started selling internationally from the US and I was told a customer from Canada couldn't pay for an item (Pokemon card) and was given a message that "the seller will not ship to your location". I've turned on eIS and have no restrictions for countries. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thanks!
