How do you protect yourself against a NAD claim when your listing was accurate?

Curious how other sellers here handle this: how do you deal with buyers who claim an object "doesn't match the photos" when you know your listing was accurate? As a seller, this cuts both ways. Some listing photos genuinely oversell an object, saturation boosted, ring-lit to hide flaws. But plenty of NAD cases probably go the other way too, an honest photo, a buyer who just didn't like the object in hand, and a seller with no way to prove the photo was accurate, so they end up eating the return anyway. That second scenario is the one I keep coming back to. When a buyer opens a NAD case and your photo was actually honest, what do you point to? Right now it feels like there's nothing, it's your word against theirs, and the seller loses by default. I've been tinkering with a small side project around this, the idea is you take your listing photo plus a second reference photo live, in natural light, in the same session, and it checks that the listing shot wasn't filtered, over-saturated, or lit to look better than the object really is. You end up with a timestamped record you could point to if a buyer claims the photo was misleading. But honestly I'm more curious how experienced sellers handle the underlying problem today. How do you protect yourself against a NAD claim when you know the listing was accurate?

Could anyone suggest an effective Promoted Listings campaign strategy?

I currently do not have a structured advertising strategy. I am running only one campaign with all of my listings included. While I am getting impressions consistently, the sales are not improving. Could someone recommend a more effective campaign strategy? I would appreciate advice on how to organize campaigns, set ad rates, group listings, and optimize performance to improve conversions and increase sales rather than just generating impressions.

      14k Vintage Sputnik ring

Hey everyone, I originally sold this ring, but it didn't pass authentication. GIA only said, The main/side gemstone(s) (Other Gemstones) does/do not match the listing.   So not sure if these are topaz or something else all together. Any help is appreciated.

Need to know what Gemstones are in this pretty Pendant. Chalcedony? Agate?

I'm back! 🙂 This is a very pretty 3 Piece Silver Pendant. Might be Native American? No one has been able to say for sure if the Vibrant Green Stone is Chalcedony or Turquoise; or another gemstone. The moss agate and pearl are easier to id. Any guesses appreciated!! Love learning more about the beauty of Gemstones! Thanks again! I'll be back with more! Happy New Year!
